Personally, I'd rather have a Cessna Skymaster

Particularly a Riley Rocket, or Super Rocket rebuild.

Just dont fly near any mountains.

Cessna's are drawn to them like moths to a flame.

The rocket conversions are pressurized. You can fly OVER the mountains.

And you can get it with an autopilot.

Some day, I want a P-51 Kit Plane.

I don't know if I'll ever have the time and money to own one, but it would be the coolest man toy ever.

Buying the thing is achievable enough. Maintaining it, fuel, and all that comes with it though. That can add up.

Like if I were to get an Airtruk, considering they no longer make parts for them. should something break, I would need to find a new whatever, or have it made from scratch. And that can be rather expensive.

That's actually what air museums do with their flyable planes. It's pretty interesting, seeing how they have to make their own parts for those planes pretty often. Sometimes people from all over the world will come to help work on the plane or donate a working part for it.

Fun fact, is that the vast majority of planes you see in museums are no longer flyable. They are unsafe to fly either because they are missing parts or they are structurally unsafe due to being left outside at an abandoned airbase, or crash landing somewhere and being discovered and restored later.

That's why it sucks to much when you see a historical airplane crash at an airshow every once in a long while... They truly are irreplaceable, and fixing up those museum display pieces to be flyable again is usually financially impossible.

Last time I played KSP I made a carrier ship, flew to Eve, and spent FIVE HOURS moving my mobile base to a high resource area, only to have it collapse under its own weight when it started filling up on ore, because GRAVITY!.

I'm still angry at myself over that.

So...

You are two separate people?

You would likely enjoy going in with Metalsand and myself.

All we do is crack jokes and generally not play while we play.

Gotta hunch those backs!

Oh you'll fit in just fine.

We have driven people off by poking fun at them and generally making sarcastic comments. They took it seriously, branded us -correctly- as ***holes and left.

We're a group? I thought we were a number of individuals loosely tied by similar posting conventions.... I don't know if I'd call that a group. Largely because I refuse to belong to any group or organization that would actually allow me to be a member.

We're certainly a-holes though.
