Sure, it's an underwhelming launch to us who have been around, but if you were new to this FREE game, it's actually quite robust. Lots of mechs to choose from, several maps, 2 game modes, the option to play 1-4 players or 12s.
I remember playing MPBT: 3025. It had only 4 maps if I remember correctly, offered a simple 4v4 gameplay and had a bunch of mechs to play with. It never made it out of beta, though. Yes, there was 5 faction CW in the form of territory capture for your house through aggregate wins by the community, which was basic, but an endgame nonetheless.
It would have been nice to have even that basic level CW. If it could be programmed in 2000, I'm not really sure why it couldn't be done today. All we can hope for is that PGI's take on CW will be fulfilling.
Until then... keep pew pewing or move on, son.

I don't say much because they really don't seem to care one bit what we say.
That said, this "Launch" is a pathetic attempt to pump up their numbers. My guess is that share holders have been putting pressure on PGI because the game is still in beta. I had hoped for something more, but I'm not particularly surprised by what I am seeing. Afterall, we Founders were promised community warfare when we went to open beta last august. Then they promised it for December, then January, then March, then May, then June, then September, and now... December. UI 2.0 was supposed to be May, then September and now I have no idea when they are promising it. Clans were supposed to be last March.
I keep getting the feeling that PGI is just stringing us along trying to milk as much money out of the community as they can before we finally lose interest.

I think the UAC5 one is a bit negative for using. It's a normal AC5 that "could" double shoot but might jam, with less ammo per ton and a ton heavier. They would have been better removing double shot and making the cooldown between the AC2 & AC5.
Also feel as though at least UI2.0 should have been in for the "launch"

Here they tell us "Launch will just be another Patch day.".... and they deliver on their word... So they tell us the truth and you still call them liars?!?!?!?!?!
Call me confused.
