Welcome To Launch, Mechwarriors!

I started this game probably 2-3 months ago and have played it every single day. I enjoy the grind for elite and master skills and have spent close to 300 bucks on this game overlord phoenix package included.
The same euphoria I got when I saw the 1st transformers movie. Knowing only how optimus prime looked like in cartoons and seeing him transform rather realistically into a robot was breathtaking. That was my childhood. This mechwarrior franchise was my childhood too, from the humble beginnings and fast forward to now with the crytech engine this game is beautiful and plays really well!
However, this game right now has the equivalent potential of Mario Balotelli along with his bad attitude. Everyone can see the potential in this game, everyone agrees that it plays really well for the most part (some issues with weapon balance and map bugs aside), everyone might agree this is above and beyond the expectation of how piloting the mechwarrior mech should feel like.
Then there is the attitude, bad to say the least. You keep realising new mechs to farm out cash with no new content. How hard is it to introduce other different game modes on the existing maps? Promises must be kept, and if there is a delay you must at least give a valid reason as to why it was delayed. I think most of us just want an explanation.
I don't know what I'm writing anymore.. JUST RELEASE MORE CONTENT FOR PETE'S SAKE!
Happy/sad mech pilot out.

Unfortunately, PGI has a history of ignoring and spiting community feedback. And they sure as hell aren't reading this thread anymore, or they'd have deleted enough posts to make the thread a couple pages shorter than it is.
I wish I knew why they promise things they won't or can't do.

Because it has worked for them, people still give them money. They haven't been forced to produce anything close to what they initially advertised for this game.

@ Opening Party:
Maybe there were critical flaws in it.
Maybe it was held to get new financial supporters.
And shurely they could have done better!
But at least they are giving what they think is their best and shitstorm as long as you like: MW:O is still online!
@ "Betrayed Founders":
Get refunded and stop ruining everyone elses game who still like MW:O
After that let go of MW:O
It is better for your health!
If need be I might get you a psychiartrist near your PC to overcome your "flamewar against MW:O"-addiction.
And please realize: Bad publicity is also a form of publicity! so there is no wrong publicity.
But do not spam our forums any further.

Edit 1: What happened
- They played MW:O
- They presented the new map
- They promised UI 2.0 within next 4 weeks
- CW Phase 1 starts with UI 2.0
- CW Phase 3 is sheduled within next 6 months

Of course it is.
As for those who forked ¥£$ for SC, can I play now? Or is still "gawk at your ship" mode as of today?
Ship gawking was very popular in EVE as well, though spinning was a large part of that. I wonder if one can spin in SC?

You sir should check your history. Roughly the same promises were made at the beginning of open beta....last October.
- CW was originally 90 days after open beta.
- then they came up with the 3 phase thing with first phase being released beginning of summer
- around that time we started getting hints that ui2 was right around the corner.
And your surprised that people who emotionally and financially invested in battletech/mwo are upset.
Oh wait, first post...this must be a trolling account...and I fell for it...shame on me.

WHOA buddy, you're wrong. I was at the launch party.
he said UI2.0 will go into testing after DX11 goes to test center in a couple weeks. so UI2.0 will go to TC in about a month
and he also said CW phase 1 would soon after ui2.0 not with it.
phase 3 will be here in "about" 6 months, not within it.

Funny. You're confusing "disagreeing" with ignoring and spiting.
If you think people who disagree with you have a personal vendetta against you, you're going to find the world a very difficult place to survive in.

About, within... these are important things to argue about.

when having a conversation in written form like we are, semantics are important.
If i said I need to borrow $100, and i'll pay it back within a year, or i'll pay it back in about a year. they mean 2 completely different things.

Clarifying incorrect statements is not arguing and is very useful for anyone who may actually have read what Jorin wrote and took it at face value, even if it might be a small difference with the specific part of the post you decided to focus on.

Not to my knowledge. I asked and they said "We are happy to refund pre-order packages that have not yet been delivered (i.e. Phoenix Packages, at this moment in time). MC packages that have been consumed, and existing Founders packages are not able to be refunded." I am still considering doing the chargeback.

you've played with your toys for almost a year now. you can't get a refund.
No. It's not. It was a product in *beta* that I contributed to in good faith and the final *released* product is not what I was promised.

Anyone who has played the game since they re-worded the terms had to agree to them in order to play. I know I did when I returned after a 6 month hiatus for Unite and Drop. The new terms were in among the 41 patches I downloaded.

that's how all EULA'S work. most big MMO's have you resign it with every expansion, and sometimes big patches.

The bottom line is that it is legitimate, people have done it, PGI accepts it, but permabans your account. Starting to sound like a better deal every day...especially with people like you playing the game.

steam does the same thing.
it's the smart thing to do, you will be commiting fraud against them understand that please. when you call your bank and ask for a charge back you will have to give them a reason, and then they will communicate with whoever does pgi's banking, when they see your puchase is from mid 2012 they are going to laugh at you.
