I'm going to have to say I'm in the "disappointed there's no launch sales or deals" boat. Was fully planning on dropping money on this and have been waiting until launch for some kind of incentive. Now... bleh.

I looked at the patch notes and when I saw the cooldown on the UAC/5 being increased to match the AC/5, I was flabbergasted.

What is there to differentiate between them? Oh yeah, the UAC/5 will jam while the AC/5 doesn't. They are eactly the same otherwise.

So downloaded the patch, bought a new Orion with cbills fitted it

Then clicked launch.....
Opened my browser, found the bookmark for the forums, found this page, posted this thread and STILL haven't found a game.

Awesome stuff.

Looks neat, though I wonder why mechs are always exploding so fast in the trailers. I thought one of the cool features was extended exchange of weapon fire between stompy robots instead of instagibbing gundams?

Also, do the Atlas eyes glow again?

Even their new Video is a lie :P Please count the number of mechs on each side... It would be great to have such epic fights, put perhaps we will get 24 vs 24 in about 6 years. Everything PGI made for launchday is a joke...

the -only- reason the game "launched" is that they promised the game would "launch" by the end of the summer. Today is the last Tuesday of the summer.

had they not launched, the same people would be indicting them for 'shameless lies'

Basically I'm not a negative person, and I don't like to flame MWO... but, honestly I'm very disappointed. I've hoped every time next patch will give us something new... something that shows some progress, but none. I had similar hopes for Launch... maybe a new CGI intro, new UI, new game mode, separate queues or anything.
I know now PGI don't know anything about development of online games or how to please their MWO community... They only make surprises if they want to reach deep in our wallet (Project Phoenix).

This isn't launch, this game still beta.
Shame on you PGI, I'm sad but have to say you deserve to lose your players. You did everything for that.

I think the current members and guests on the forums is the entire population of MWO. That would put it at about 2,500 players.

Just as an FYI the majority of any games player base rarely, if ever visit said community forums. This isn't a presumption because it's been statistically proven time and time again. Nice try though =]

No, that's footage from Closed Beta. You can't have that many mechs on the field either.

lol they just disabled comments for the video after over 80-90% were negative

"one of the top 25 pc shooters of all time -pc gamer" remind me to cancel that subscription...also quote is from 5 months before launch

Quote

During the next year" doesn't mean "during 2014"

It means during the year between September 17, 2013 and September 17, 2014
You're right, which means if it comes after December 31st, it'd be 'next year', wouldn't it? However, let's consider... "Hey, let's put in a new user interface AFTER launch. Yea, that's a great idea....' You know, instead of doing something revolutionary like...say getting your features in and working before live/release, follow the trend of putting incomplete software out there live before we finish it.
