Opinions On This Catapult C1 Build?

I picked the Catapult as my starting mech, knowing that I'm the type who likes to adapt to different situations. Currently, I'm using an XL 280 Engine shared with my Ilya, but this is eventually what I'd like it to be after I'm done with it.
CPLT-C1
Doesn't run as hot as you think, though. I love the flexibility the build offers at any range and the 2 Large Lasers are a good complement, if not deterrent for someone who wants to take a potshot or just to add on to the damage my LRMs are dishing out, which when the situation presents itelf, has been absolutely devastating.
Thoughts?

I find this to be incorrect for the most part. Since the general operational range for direct fire battles is around 500m on average, the medium lasers are nearly at their peak range and aren't doing nearly as much as the larges in the same situation. I actually find the build intriguing, although I would consider dropping down to LRM10s and putting in a slightly larger engine with more heat sinks and armor.
It will definitely help with times where you know the guy's going to be able to avoid the LRMs, since you can still put out decent damage with two LLs.
Edit: After playing with it a bit, I'm not quite sure. The LRM15s are the better choice, but I'm not sure if it's just getting used to the different weapons or what because I'm not getting the damage per match I was hoping for. On the other hand, there were a lot of times where I realized I wasn't firing my lasers when I should have, or wasn't tagging correctly. It'll definitely stay a consideration, but I don't see it as a breakout build for the C1 just yet (not that there are really any breakout builds for it). Maybe after some more practice, because it's not too hot or too slow or anything else that normally kills unusual builds.

Depending on how things go or if I notice I never do use them most of the time, I might just use the weight for armor, Heat Sinks or an AMS, depending on how many slots I have left.

If you truly need LL
I like the idea of a versatile kitty but this one in my opinion is far too vulnerable to just about anything.
31 Points of Armor on Legs, an XL with low armor side torsos, AMMO IN THE ARMS?
Lastly, any light will wreck you more easily. Long cooldown and high heat from LL makes you vulnerable to a light with a flamer. You will be shut down after trying to lase it and it will laugh.
I really do love the LL concept but it does not go hand in hand with LRM boating. You have to give up something and you gave up way too much. I mean there is ammo in the arms! The most commonly destroyed part of a Cat and you put ammo into it. The Explosion would then go into the side torso where your XL is.
Edit: Or we take the more Laser Dakka Mode.

A friend & I came up with a brawler load-out for the C1 which is kinda fun. Similar to your's only SRM6s instead of LRM10s.

I ran a similar build - just w/out the AMS & with more SRM ammo. Was fun when SRMs were hit-detecting reliably. Moved away from it when SRMs became all show & no detection.
Now I run it with a LRM10 & LRM5 w/ Artemis. Works surprisingly well, especially end-of-match.

I took into count of having the ammo in the arms and move it to the legs. good point. i find i can fire my LL with out over heating to much as long as I watch what I doing. I like the range they had over just ML. I was after more fire power with out relaying on missiles. it would like to fix a XL engine but i think i need all the up grade in the mech lab right? I only have the one cat tho. do you guys find missiles to be better the lasers

Still, I was only a few days old in Mechwarrior Online when I made this thread, as mentioned. Being a significantly better Mechwarrior than I was, I default to this build now;
CPLT-C1
Great Fire Support as far as I'm concerned.Changing to Large Lasers or ER Large Lasers allows me to upgrade the engine and add more heatsinks if I'm feeling a bit conservative.

Anyone noticed, that all Catapult variants have been buffed to 20 tube launchers? Originally only the C4 variant had 20 tube launchers.... This makes the C1 variant naturally a beast. Now you can run it with 2xLRM20/Artemis and 3xML+TAG. Thats ofc beastly.

It diminishes the C4 a bit, yeah...unless you prefer having the Streaks to the extra ML. I suppose if you've got the TAG though you don't entirely need the Beagle though. That'll free up some tonnage.

Otherwise, this is a nasty surprise for anyone running into a C1 (I love this build):
