The people wearing their clothes inside out because they dressed themselves can wander around and not know any better. I wont be frustrated because I am forced to play with them and watch them charge in and die.

I think it's worthwhile to notice such games also bring the **ELO HELL** reputation wich in sort means falling in a zone where everyone sucks too much you can't make so huge difference and remain stuck there forever....

It's still not working enough though... there is a thread dedicated to this...

Feel free to contribute to it.

I have seen teams like SJR and such when pug dropping with some of the top guys in my group. These pug matches play like 12 man drops. It is different. It is HARD. It is a lot of fun.
I too get frustrated with the idiocy I sometimes see in pug matches, but there is a way out: win. Increase your elo.
If you find yourself dropping with idiots it probably means you are in a mid-ranked elo and you can escape it by increasing your elo and dropping in prime time.

Well it would depend on how they did the ranking system. If they did a system like LOL does then it would be broken down by Solo and Group. I don't think this would be a bad thing, but I do see the issues that will crop up from it. If someone doesn't play Ranked games then everyone will tell him that he doesn't have the right to post his opinion, which I do not agree with. As for the 'worst members of the game' that the OP refers to: We were all new at one time and with the fact that there is only one 'Training Mission' ATM new players have to learn by trial and error. Not easy with people yelling at them instead of trying to help them understand what they did wrong.
2 cents...

As a new player I get matched against or with ts-teams. At some point , mostly when my team loses some "nice guy" starts to tell me or other random-casual-players how bad we are.
Well what do they expect?
Not everyone wants to use ts. Not everyone is a tryhard-superpro-player who is playing like he gets payed for it.
Those who play together in a ts-team just should not be matched up with or against random-teams.
It just doesn´t work and this game looses a lot of potential customers because of it.
So don´t blame new, casual, justforfun players for ruining your gameexperience.

That was my point. Without private lobbies and a good, solid tutorial the new players are having enough problems learning the game without people screaming at them. I think it is quite humorous that the players that yell at new players forget that they were new at one point and were making the same mistakes. Help the new players, stop yelling. No one is perfect, even that awesome pilot in the mirror is not perfect.

Other game modes might help: I was thinking of a round robin mode for four-man groups only. Plays standard (2 2-lance teams, three matches) or marathon (2 3-lance teams, ten matches), ends with aggregate score ranks for the lances. Team jumbling balances overall through the configuration space, and aggregate scoring rewards consistent ability.
Edit. 4 total lances, two to a side, means three possible team combinations.
6 total lances, three to a side, means 10 distinct team combinations, I think. Assumes alpha, bravo, Charlie positioning doesn't matter.
