Loaded in fine, saw the groups, mech began its startup phase and before the animations finished it just froze solid. Tried tabbing through to my desktop, tried task manager and it said MWO wasnt in 'not responding' status so not sure what caused it. (So at this moment there is a 75 ton paperweight laying around taking up space on my teams side

You can sometimes force your game to start working again by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE then opening up the task manager, simply close it again after that if it is not listed as not responding and tap back into the game - it solves all of my problems like this, then again I am running in full windowed mode, so perhabs you need to do that aswell for it to work as a workaround.

Xeno - by your post count it seems you have been around for a while, but just in case, have you tried running the repair tool? I usually run it after each patch just to make sure nothing got corrupted.

Good luck with resolution.

Yeah been around sense near the end of closed beta buuuuttt I just had it happen again, as the pilot pushed the little red button during the startup phase locked up solid on terra therma. Its so damn random I cant figure out what the initial cause is but ill run the repair tool in a moment then see if it takes another ten days to happen XD
(CRL alt DEL dosnt shake it out of the lockup for the record))

I don't know if this is the same thing. But once on Terra Therma, I had lost sound and couldn't move. Every time I pressed a button on my keyboard I got a tone and nothing in game.
It turns out that at least for my computer, if I accidentally click outside the game window the game will not respond to the keyboard. I had to mouse the pointer into the game window and click it there for my game to respond. While I figured out this work around within the game time, it did mean my Jenner wasn't doing much of anything to help my team.

Any help from the repair tool? If not, try submitting a support ticket with an Omicron log and DXDiag attached and cross your fingers

This is my problem so far its been a rare thing, so cant say if the repair tool fixed it or not yet but I did notice a pattern. When it originally happened it was also on terra therma during the startup phase, and I was using another ON1 at the time. (though a K model rather than the VA) If it does happen again i'll see about grabing some more detailed reports.
