You are doing the world a disservice. I think that most forum complaints are instances when top-tier players get in their lowest-Elo (aka not as often played) weight classes and dominate bads.

What does that even mean?

I don't see how you can argue that the Cataphract is struggling when it's such an amazing mech for its tonnage. I mean take the Cataphract 3D: Great and flexible hardpoints, good hitboxes, jumpjets, good speed, 70 tons of armor/health, movement range on par with other heavies and assaults. You still have a mech that can put 30 pinpoint damage on a mech at range while barely exposing himself. I would argue that a Cataphract 3D is easily on par with anything 10 tons above it.

There is a reason why the Cataphract is the most popular mech in the game by far. A few weapon balance tweaks will not change this.

Few month ago a Heavy mech was sort of "DPS CARRY" on the battelfield because of ballistic slots and fast torso twist .

Gause+4 Lasers on Catapult. 3 UAC+2 mediums on Jagger and Cataphract

Technicly having higher firepower over assaults at a cost of XL

Both Gause and UAC5 lost about 30% of their DPS . Don't quate me on math but its about right .

I don't think that PGI took into account that canon boaters left themselves very vulnarble with xl engines.

I use to be afraid of direct fire from heavys but now i get 4-5 kills in close games blowing their center torsos with my misery . It only takes 2 well placed shots .

ORION is a joke by the way . He feels like 75 tons atlas no kidding . Thats a bad thing.

You canon boaters are not scary anymore . 32-35 tons and XL engine on big targets. All day easy picking for me .

You sir, are what is commonly referred to by normal people as a moron!

It means a joke. It means that Chavette is a boss and him playing in low Elo = bads thinking they have seen the return of Jesus.

That is not true . Before the patch heavys had enoguh fire power to win 1 vs 1 assault with a good aim .

*sigh*

I still can take down assaults 1 vs 1 in my BJ-1. :)

What's your point? What are you trying to prove here?

Wait I'm confused. Does Elo take into account your overall W/L or your individual mech W/L?

It's based on weight class (light/medium/heavy/assault).

Positioning matters infinitely more than the mech when you are talking about individual contribution on a 1v1 scale. Beyond that scale Teamwork matters more.

What do I mean?

A Spider with a single Small Laser, no Armor and completely red internals but with good positioning will kill any Assault Mech with any build and at 100% if the Assault Mech has bad positioning.

Personally I've been running a Brawler Hunchback-4SP and it just feels so good to catch a Highlander or an Atlas out of position and use speed and better awareness to get a better position on them to punish their bad position.

This is even better once you have the speed to run wolfpack with other lights, mediums and the occasional Crazy Victor.

This is nothing about how any class of mech is universally better than another. This is entirely about how you use your mech matters infinitely more than what your mech is.

BTW, I almost confused you with Mad Cat Mk II who is one of the game's better players, and Mr. 144 might be doing that as well.

My god, no...never would I tell Mk II that he sucks, lol.
