Yep, it's a bit too much to be playable. It blows up a few seconds after anything shoots at it. Center Torso is gone. Maybe bugged, but I think it's just too big. It's like a fish net that catches hell.

That being said...it's also very easy to target the side torsos, and, since everyone in an Orion uses an XL for obvious reasons, it really makes them pretty easy to kill all around.

We gotta play it like a support mech, a medium brawler. Feels just as vulnerable, but slower. A 1 on 1 encounter usually ends up with the Orion's CT gone

I remeber in some other thread i said its petty much like playing a catapults..however after spending more time with it I came to the conclusion that maybe it is a bit too large..was worried when i shoved in the XL i would die more often. Now I die about the same just can move faster.

yeah it could use a tiny reduction in hitbox

Hit box on center is to large, but make sure you do not increase the left right torso hits when fixing the center torso hit.
I like the mech overall but have had to move everything to mid range support mech as the mech just cant get close without dying fast. Its a bit to weak at this time as a result of the large (easily hit) CT.

Yes, as it is now Orion's CT hitbox is too big and as a result the mech feels too fragile for its weight class.
On the other hand, we have the same problem with Awesome and nothing was done about it for approximately a year and a half. I won't hold my breath waiting for PGI to fix it.
And if I start to recount all mechs that have problems with hitboxes and scaling, it'll be a LONG post.

Out of curiosity, how would this be possible? If the CT is decreased, the LT and RT will have to increase to make up the surface area.
