Hello!

We've been seeing a number of tickets about this. Please be advised that we are monitoring and investigating this.
We are still a North American focused release at the moment though, so please keep in mind that we cannot always support connections in other countries.

it is understandable, but speak with ppl at least, this problem exist for me for 4 days and am not able to play anymore.

Ok, am starting to lose my patience, it has been exist for me for whole week, everyday its getting worse and worse, 400+ ping from usuall 140 and looks like its not going to stabilize, ive got 25 mechs which 8 of them are heroes and am not **** able to use them at all, i have tride 2 different ISP but it did change nothing!
I tried alot of stuff to trying figure whats the problems is and i figured that its not a problem with my ISP or any device am running in my PC.

yep, maybe next patch/maintenance will do something about this if not, might have to cancel my overlord, not much of use if I can't play the game.

This should be written in bold (32pt Comic Sans) at the "credits" page in user profile. That would be fair.

The easyst way to fix it like i did had 374 ping before was using a VPN
luckyly 1 Server out of 50 had first rate access to torronto so iam
there now with 130 ping from Germany even thou iam connecting to
a server max 50 km away from me lolz and all Servers of that
VPN business that were locatet in Torronto had like 250-300
ping if i would connect to em via my ISP so i think
maybe some major screw ups on the path of data.

I got to alot of hightened responses from Torronto itself
where the other Route path are like 130 but the last hop
to the border Torr net is 200 and higer

The other thing is what iam thinking that the ISP that handels the Traffic
is sometimes massivly overpowered or by default slow foreign packets down

Another thing could be that the Server hoster doesnt get paid that much
that he really cares about any traffic outside US/CAN
as somebody mentioned they see there playerbase in
US/CAN no ill will just a thought

The other thing with germany is that there is for some reasons atm a routing
over Paris/London wich is terrible and should affect FR players too

I have been having trouble with getting 250 ping when my normal ping is about 90. It seems like it is the last hop on something called "mwtactics" or something like that.

I will post screenshots later because it seems I am not the only person with this intermittent problem.

At day time my ping is fine and stable (about 150) but evenings 17-24++? GMT it's between 200-350 and fluctuating all the time and this fraks up HSR totally.

That's good to hear. For the record: My ping has returned to normal for now (140-160, stable), same goes for my European squaddies I think.

I don't think this had a whole lot to do with PGI. I did traceroutes that showed huge spikes/lag somewhere in Paris (damn you, Frenchies! B) ) and others that showed weird routing all over the place once my packets crossed the Atlantic. Like entering Canada, then going back to the US, back to Canada and again back to the US where I finally timed out. Fo comparison: I did a tracert just now and was back to a pretty decent 8 or 9 hops from Germany, when a few days ago I'd get around 15 or 16 IIRC.

But still: Excuse me?!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Having spent at least €200 (prolly more - don't even wanna think about it) during the short time I've played this game, I actually feel kinda insulted by a statement such as this. That'd be like VW or BMW selling cars in the US and then denying their customers over there any sort of aftersales-services because, hey, they're still a German-/Euro-centric company.

PGI can't fix the internet - that's a bit much to ask!

I've no playability issues except for some dodgy hit detection from time to time at 310ms from Australia. Mind you I don't play light mechs.

Well, no, obviously. They're not Al Gore, after all ...

It's still kinda weird of them to make a statement like this. Even if that's your official policy, I wouldn't *communicate* it if I were them.

Did you test this now or last evening/night? because I tried last time yesterday 1800GMT and it was still unstable.
Because it has worked all week at daytime.

Didn't regularly check last night, but it seemed ok for me around..hmm.. 1700-1800 and then again 2200- 0020 central euro time. Pings were between 140 - 170 for me and I didn't have any issues with hits not registering. And if I had had those horrible pings from a few days ago, I would have noticed. The symptoms are hard to miss: Chat becomes extremely laggy (or my messages fail to appear in the radio bar altogether), target lock and zooming in take forever, etc.

Ditto for this morning, when my pings also were around 140 - 150. And as I've posted up above: Tracert was done this morning as well.

Is it just me or does the problem seem to have shifted over to the US now? Seems that it was just us Euros complaining about horrible pings a few days ago, when now it seems to be more the players connecting from US/Canada.

*shrug*

I have exactly the same problems, usually I have a ping of 110 or 120, but it can go over 200 or even 300 sometimes while the ping to a reasonably close website stays at 22ms.
