For this game how they sort out mech detection is vital, both for roles light mechs ie scouting and for ambushes. A shut down (or powered down) mech is nearly "invisible" except in the visible spectrum. and less detectable if crouching. Other than line of sight the only way to find them is by using (as mentioned earlier) the Beagle Active Probe. On a true urban map the buildings will block/confuse most forms of detection meaning the only way to find mechs will be visually. This will mean using light mechs with jump jets using flat roofs and probably zoomed optics to try and spot the enemy. Moving down streets means you could have a nast surprise waiting for you just round the corner.
Cities were what infantry were intended for - in general they can be mech hell. Fortunately we don't seem to have anything but mechs in the game.

So, you don't want the developers to be aware of a serious bug in another similar game that could happen in this one, because there are people in that other game's forum complaining about it?
That doesn't make any sense.
I'm asking for True Line of Sight. Back on task.

I would like it better if they stricken WoT from their minds altogether when making MWO. Honestly, it isn't perfect, but I would rather see more comparisons to MWLL than WoT.
How about no more WoT threads in general?... probably too much to hope for

And, for the record, I don't know what kind of StarTrech craziness you people have been playing, but actual cloaking/stealth devices I know for sure weren't in circulation before 3058 (not talking about Guardian ECM)... by our gameclock, that's 10 years (game isn't out for another year at least) from now. With any luck we will be playing a new game that starts us in 3025 (where real men play giant robots). I don't see why there should be any concern for this topic.
