Why isn't this in yet? PPC have lost their place in the battlefield. Why not bring back its power without the power by turning it into an information warfare weapon?

Suggestions:

1) break missile lock
2) 2 second Temp ECM effect of no signal
3) Make everything statiky and give a nizz ZZZZ crack sound effect.

(PPCs have not lost their place on the battlefield)

However, I wouldn't mind it getting it's crackling effect back.

I think lock loss is a bit too much, but disrupting the HUD for a couple of seconds would be cool feature. Just disorientating enough, like AC shots or missile shake, to put you off unless you really concentrate. Without a HUD it would be tricky to maintain lock anyway due to lack of crosshairs.

It would make PPCs a little more useful for the heat....

Ah, I see you wanted this a 2 years ago!!! http://mwomercs.com/...t-it-should-do/

No. Fix ECM first. Missiles don't need another nerf while that monstrosity of a "you build is no longer functional" off switch still exists.
