I have actually several times almost tried to reach out and rip down the damn monitors in my mech. The thing is HUGE and it's BLOCKING MY VISION and it does nothing.
Why wouldn't we be able to customize this part of our mechs as well? You already built a cockpit configuration into the UI.... ... .. .. .. .. . . . . .

I don't think it ever has updated. I remember looking at it in anticipation after making a kill or two way back in closed beta - and it just showed zero.

Every time a player enters a match you are greeted by the cockpit start up audio and look-around that in effect screams "This game is not done" The terrible textures on the pilot body also contribute.
These are first impressions you are making. Polish it up and I bet your telemetry would show higher conversions and lower bounce rates.

I remember when I ran a Cicada on Tourmaline. The glare on the screens when they caught the light was actually visually uncomfortable.

There will not be a rear view camera for the same technical limitation that kept advanced zoom worthless before the kinda did a workaround. PIP is just too heavy of a rendering cost in Crysis.

Probably with the new workaround they could do something like that as well..

The workaround for advanced zoom didn't involve fixing PIP at all, it just zoomed the rest of the camera in further while keeping the old blurry screen to make the blur less noticeable. This means it is not applicable to fixing PIP for views you didn't already have on-screen, like a rear camera.

Whatever if they want they can do it, but we're off topic by a while mate xD
