i sure hope that one day we can put the hud on these screens because the game is a lot more immersive with the current hud disabled

People don't get it. Their priority is 3PV, not 1PV cockpit screens.

Are you suggesting that 3PV should include promotional ads on the screen for the Protector and the new Boar's Head?

So, if all my systems are nominal, why do half my screens say Autodetect : No Signal?

I have actually several times almost tried to reach out and rip down the damn monitors in my mech. The thing is HUGE and it's BLOCKING MY VISION and it does nothing.

Why wouldn't we be able to customize this part of our mechs as well? You already built a cockpit configuration into the UI.... ... .. .. .. .. . . . . .

They could put in lancemate and team information. Number of mission kills, etc.

The most visible one should work as rearview.

There is a number of mission kills screen. I don't think it actually updates anymore though.

Rather than complaining about the screens being black why not discuss what you would like on said screens. I am not sure what vital information needs to be on them.

I don't think it ever has updated. I remember looking at it in anticipation after making a kill or two way back in closed beta - and it just showed zero.

While I realize this is a low priority feature game mechanic wise I would like to argue it's a HUGE feature psychologically to a new player.

Every time a player enters a match you are greeted by the cockpit start up audio and look-around that in effect screams "This game is not done" The terrible textures on the pilot body also contribute.

These are first impressions you are making. Polish it up and I bet your telemetry would show higher conversions and lower bounce rates.

I remember when I ran a Cicada on Tourmaline. The glare on the screens when they caught the light was actually visually uncomfortable.

Yup tourmaline glare and zero kill count! I'd support configurable/disablable low detail rear or side view cameras, I always feel dirty shooting someone from the side/rear

One of those screens could be turned into a rear view camera with ease at least you know what are you stuck into or else. We have 3PV drone but not a rear view camera..

There will not be a rear view camera for the same technical limitation that kept advanced zoom worthless before the kinda did a workaround. PIP is just too heavy of a rendering cost in Crysis.

Probably with the new workaround they could do something like that as well..

The workaround for advanced zoom didn't involve fixing PIP at all, it just zoomed the rest of the camera in further while keeping the old blurry screen to make the blur less noticeable. This means it is not applicable to fixing PIP for views you didn't already have on-screen, like a rear camera.

There is another thread about this... they need to either make them do something or take them down
