I don't even care if it makes me more of a target. The mech was so much more menacing with the glowing eyes

I care. You can see the damn things clear across any map. No thanks.

The Heavy Metal plays music after a kill, pehaps the red eye effect could be something along those lines. It'd make a neat feature for the Boar's Head.

To the OP, I can only say "Hell Yeah!!"

If some people are worried that someone might see their carefully concealed 100 ton behemoth (LOL @ these tryhards), make the glowing eyes toggle-able or something.

The red eyes were pretty darn cool. I would like to see it back. I don't think the eyes need to be visibile across the map though LOL.

Lately the idea of the red eyes being part of the old DX11 settings ( think they went away after PGI removed it )

Maybe it's just an odd idea of mine, but i somewhat expect to see those glowing eyes back with DX11

How about Atlai use the missile bay doors button to toggle it?

Or just use the same key who regulate the cockpit lights.

This would also allow to further tune some grade lights into inside outside of Mechs.

It would be freaking scary turn a corner in river city night then see the Atlas gaze become bright red if the pilot just choose to regulate it.

Who cares if they can see you from across the map? It just makes the mech more intimidating.

"Scout, report! What do you see?"
"Atlai. Atlai are coming."

Get a kill atlas eyes go red. It's not like everyone and their mother doesn't know where you are.

Or tone the red down. They did for the 3pv noob light.

Link the eye glow to the mechs heat scale. Higher heat = brighter eyes.

They nerfed heat vision to only work up to 700m, maybe they can make the eyes shine only under 400m. Toggle make most sense tho, but you'll have to macro it on like tag LOL

It would be cool if they tied it to the cockpit lights setting. Dimming the lights would turn off the red eyes. Or to make it even cooler, when you dim to the lowest settings, it could turn the internal lights red and that would match up to the external light color. Would feel like you were in a submarine :)

How about adding range to that glow like 300-400 meters?
