I´m posting this because:

1 - Not only teams play this game.
2 - Some teams lost players.
3 - Its easy to get 8 friends online, 12 almost never
4 - Its a way to start a new team going.

ps: I´m not telling to stop 12 men games, gest bring the option of 8 back

As an extra option? Sure. Just not as a replacement.

Then again, I'd like to see the ability to drop with any sized group again. There are plenty of ways to balance this that would be palatable.

When set up matches appear somewhere down the road (yeah, yeah, who knows how long...) you will be able to drop versus another team with whatever parameters the opponents agree on.

I agree with bringing back 8vs8 but with the option of picking 12vs12 also

This ship has sailed. 12v12 is a superior competitive gamemode over 8v8.

I liked 8v8 a lot better than 12v12; the good shots to shoot from cover were'nt contantly chock-a-block with mechs and i felt like a i had a lot more impact on the outcome of the game. 12v12 seems to have fostered a mentality of 'ill just shoot some stuff to get kill assists and then die so i can make money faster.'

The issue is "cost". Yes, it costs PGI cold hard cash to host games ... 12v12 is *cheaper* then 8v8 because they pay by server instance. 1200 players for 12v12 games are a mere 50 server instances ... vs 8v8 which is 75 instance. That's a 50% cost increase.

Would you be willing to pay MC for private 8v8 games? Hmm?

Even if you say Yes, the vast majority will say no ... which means you'll be queue's FOR-EVAR.

Bottom line? Sorry to rain on your parade but this is not a matter of needing to convince PGI people want it (and the reality is that majority don't) ... this is about money ... cold hard cash ... A better poll would be "would you pay MC to play 8v8" ... and it's gonna be worse then your current poll.

You do know that they are making an option for groups of any size to drop in game. Don't use that, "it will never happen." argument because it is just as unlikely for them to bring back 8 mans.
