I was just about to watch the video, and may still do so at some point, but thank you for this summary here as well.
While some of this isn't necessarily new, there certainly is a number items that are indeed new or perhaps more fleshed out now in terms of how they will play out.

I just know that without acutal interaction with the backstory outside the mech turns all this wonderful universe richness into nothing more than a cool matte painting to fight in front of.
I will be very interested in the logistics/strategy layer of the game if/when it happens.

Can't wait for the next iteration of Community Warfare in another three years: the half-assed flowchart.

Info on CW would have been -- after 2 years of beta and after "launch" --- an actual INGAME presentation of the working thing, with a detailed schedule of the time and the stuff that goes to the PRT.
A guy who already
Show the actual thing INGAME, or one must assume work has not even started on it, as far as PGI's credibility goes...
Talking about the future features of a 5-6/10 rated game is pretty vacant -- make that "future" happen now, or just pull up the tents and leave camp, because it will be over "Soon TM".

Failure to produce a single screenshot or video of work in progress in over two years would suggest to me that this is indeed the case.
