How much damage done would you consider to be acceptable for other players? What do you consider to be acceptable damage done for your self with your mighty locust? ;)

Poor damage?
Average damage?
Good damage?

Who cares,it runs at 170kph max so just kite around the slower mechs and move in for the kill steal when you see it.

With a Locust you'll do far more good by captrolling the enemy than trying to score damage and getting streaked into oblivion.

My low today has been 78, 0 kills 1 assist. My high was 277, 1 kill 4 assists. LCT-1V[P], 4mg 1mlas.

My very next game I dropped in my Jenner-F and scored 537 damage and 9 assists. Take from that what you will <shrugs>

Locusts are hilariously fun free kills. It does strike me as kinda odd though that those who paid money for them did so merely to entertain me at the expense of their own enjoyment...well unless they're masochists. ;)

It needs either ECM, or JJ. Right now, it's pretty bad imo.

Actually I think the Locust feels like it is correct in comparison with the other mechs.

It is the smallest mech and it should not be considered to take on assault mechs like the Spider.

That said it only shows how badly OPed the Spider is.

Nobody is saying it should be able to take out an Atlas. It really shouldn't. Only time it would is if the Atlas pilot is terrible and it would take a while even at that.

My problem with it is that it has no utility/survivability. If it had at least jump jets, it would definitely last long enough to be annoying (I'm primarily a Jenner pilot when it comes to lights).

my highlight from the half dozen games I played last night was getting 3 kills and almost 400 damage in the one that can fit 4mg and 1mlas, worst was getting as low as no kills and 70something damage. In general though it sat at about 1 kill and 100-200 damage.

It's fun enough for messing about, need to get this levelled up and out of the way as quickly as possible while people are still fielding these weak mechs though.

Prepare yourself for a world of hurt.

That being said maybe it improves once mastered but i'm not inclined to waste GXP to fast skill the LCT chassis just yet

This. PGI has made sure that none other role than a fighter remains in the game. Scouting is dead. Made obsolete by 3rd person and variable consumables. Long live the almighty dollar.

The problem with the Locust is that it got no benefit out of double armor since all its locations can still be one-shotted.

The 3M is the best of the bunch. Its a fast glass-Jenner without jumpjets. The rest is worse. I see myself on a lot of Conquest maps capping. And being happy with it.

To be viable this thing needs ECM and an even bigger Engine than the 190. And the speed limit must be lifted. And and and.....

I played a game against you yesterday - your team tried the "locust swarm" tactic on Caustic, but we managed to return to base in time. I took a shot at the swarm with AC20: one locust died and the rest ran away :-)

Fun mech though: cheaper than DHS upgrade and does not need DHS :-) Should be a free gift for any new player.

The streak locust is hilarious, because it's almost impossible to fit four streak launchers on it with the necessary BAP and enough ammo to be effective for more than a few volleys.

Oh wait, it's a locust, so just bring one ton of ammo. You'll be dead long before you can use it up in the average game.

Well it does what it should do: Scouting and capping. And it is feared by the Heavy and Assault-Pilots. Yesterday i saw a Jagermech wasting 2Gauss-Shells and four MLs for a Locust resulting in instant knockdown...Poor Locust.. But seriously it is maybe not a big damagedealer but it is very scary when there is something which shoots you back but you cant see it in your Atlas because its there between your feet.

71 damage
1.3k exp
166k cbills

Pure pug, second time I've taken it out. I'd say my cbills/xp are acceptable for a 20t DOAer, irrespective of my damage.

I've managed to get my 1V(P) games consistantly around 300 damage and a handful of kills (honest kills are rare, aside from the usual light duels vs bad players). This compared to the 650dmg average on my other lights.

I'm hoping the other two variants are better somehow because there isn't a single redeeming quality on the 1V.
