Hi, I just recently noticed my ping went from like 130 average to 180-200ms. 130 is bad, 200 is unplayable. I think it went bad since the last patch, but am not sure. Noticed it just recently when was unable to hit anything with ac20. Tried to ping my local services, all around 8ms, so that is normal and no degradation noticed here. Please save me :P I cant play like this, I dont like to play the LRM boats;)

Just logged in to open a thread about this myself.

Ran a match where targeting didn't seem to work. Thought it was my keyboard giving up the ghost, but then realized that it was just slow as hell to respond to my keystroke. Then saw that chat was slow as hell as well. Checked ping and found that I was at around 500ms and lots of other players were in the 350 - 700 range. Usually I'm getting stable pings of around 150, +/- 10%.

Did all sorts of ping-/speed-tests and all reported/indicated that my connection was fine.

Just tried playing with a buddy on TS and he didn't even enter the match with me three times in a row. His name didn't appear on the lance-list, just an empty line where it should have been. His Mech never appeared on the battlefield though. Plus: His Mech was still locked in the first match (which he never entered), well after the match was over.

EDIT: We tried switching group-leadership but that didn't help. Weirdly enough, he was able to enter a match on his own. Once we launched in group, he couldn't get in. And his ping (on his own) was what he usually gets.

Something is wrong with server today because my ping is also around 400 and some other people I have seen. This is temporary problem I hope.

My ping is worse than it was before last patch. 160 ping compared to 180 now, goes up to 200 also sometimes.

German Telekom here too. They use a crappy route to Toronto. Problems started for me last tuesday.
But today they changed the route to an even crappier one.
Mine goes to Frankfurt, Paris, London, New York, Chicago, Toronto.

I'm on a Telekom connection myself. Squaddies of mine living in Finland, Italy and the UK also had rough and unstable pings today. So I'm not too sure about Telekom being the culprit here, unless of course all their traffic gets routed through Germany ... :P

Also noticed that hit-detection seemed way off on a couple of matches. Hit stationary Jenners in the face with 2xAC20 from point blank with no effect and had another game where I pounded a guy from behind and close-in with AC20 and MLAS and supposedly only scored 80 damage overall.

Yeah, hit detection is a problem too. With 3x AC2 i get hit confirmation (targeting goes red) like in 50% cases :P

There definitely seems to be an issue from the peering perspective prior to the handoff to PGI, which is unfortunately outside of their ability to directly influence.

Just played few matches now and the problem is still there. One match I get my "normal" ping around 160 and when I start new game it jumps to 350-400. I don't know whats happening but I hope they fix it.

Wish I had seen this thread the other day. It explains much about the rubber band city I was getting in any Mech with a speed above 100K the day before yesterday.. My ping had doubled too... (130 > 250 variable)

Thanks to the OP and those that contributed! Lets hope PGI can eventually get severs here in Europe and "down under" for our Australasian comrades too.

Have you traced to the server address? I would be curious to see what route you take as it's possible that your traffic is traversing a router that is currently exhibiting issues.

Ive got the same problem 3rd day in a row, normally my ping is 140-150, now it goes to 400+.
What i pay my money for? if i cant play with that HUGE latency anymore!!!
But the most annoying thing that no one of PGI support REPLY TO THIS PROBLEM!

I've noticed it has been a little bit higher than normal for me as well.
