How about some warning before you bring the servers down, like most professional?
Maybe as you enter the match , "server will be shutting down in 10 mins." Even Ultima Online figured that out 20 years ago.
I could add a bunch of insults and foul words here to show my angst but I have this feeling in the back of my mind that you really don't care. Please prove me wrong.

Hopefully this will be implemented sometime soon. I'd imagine it's much lower on the list of features, however, it would be nice to see.

Seems like a fairly low priority issue, given that the most "progress" you could possibly lose is a single game.
