You're not really going to get a picture of your mech, besides from 3rd person view camera (F3 I believe?), which will be positioned behind your mech.

If you want good pictures of your mech in action, you'll need a friend with you to take those pictures. Probably a Private Match situation.

That's a shame but thanks for your help :)

As Tesunie said, best way is to make a private match, where the other one is in spectator mode. Then he/she gets a free moving camera and can make screenshots of you from every angle and distance (but this requires both of you to have premium time active).

Beside that you can only make a screenshot in thirdperson view (yes, it is F3). But this will be only from behind.
If you need it, you can turn of your whole HUD by pressing right shift + F11. (Press this combination again to reenable the HUD).

Merry Christmas!

I think it is about half a year.
The exact dates can be seen in the FAQs:
Q: When will these 'Mechs be available for purchase in-game with MC or C-Bills?
  • Wolfhound: November 17th for MC and December 15th for C-Bills
  • Crab: December 1st for MC and January 5th for C-Bills
  • Black Knight: December 15th for MC and January 19th for C-Bills
  • Mauler: January 5th for MC and February 2nd for C-Bills

(You can find them here: https://mwomercs.com/store/
Click on the pack and then on the "FAQ", see here:

Hello all, new to MWO but not the MW franchise (played MW2/3). Looks very similar to MW3. My questions pertain to purchasing mechs and equipment and cross-leveling stuff between multiple mechs in the mechlab. If I purchase mechs, and I strip them down to rebuild them, are the un-used parts available in my inventory for use on other mech builds? I assume so, but I hate to assume. I see purchasing complete mechs as a way to build inventory of both chassis and equipment for custom builds.

Also, when a mech is damaged or destroyed in battle, do you lose anything? Or is the mech "new" at the start of the next match?

I just created my account and am now going thru the tutorials/training/proving grounds and setting up my controls - it's been a few years since I've played MW3, so I'm pretty rusty......

Thanks, and Happy Holidays!

Yes, you can use every part of equipment for every 'Mech. An engine from a spider can be put inside the Atlas. Only cross-equipping between IS and Clan is NOT possible. (There are a lot of people, who have only one XL-enginge for several 'Mechs and they switch them between these.)

Here is nothing like Rearm & Repair, thus your damaged 'Mech will be totaly renewed at the start of the next battle (without anything to do/pay).

A last thing: Welcome to MW:O! Hope you get accustomed soon and have as much fun as we have :)

Thanks! I am hoping to have a good time. I'm not a "gamer", but I really did enjoy MW2/3 back in "the day" (am I giving away my age???)

What's the general opinion of the Marauders? Worth a buy?
If I purchase the $20 pack do they appear instantly? I recall people sometimes having to wait several days for things to appear in the past.

Thanks!

I am a noob but after completing the first 25 matches I decided to purchase the Marauder pack with the hero add on. I received them in my account that afternoon. I still sucked, but that was me not the mechs. I spent some time in light techs and it seemed to make me more aware about teamwork and not putting myself in bad positions, and I got better with my Marauders. I have 2 of the 3 "upgraded" to basic level and the third is almost there. (Sorry I don't recall the proper terminology.) The hero mech add on was not worth the $15 to me. It has more armor but is slower and the gauss rifle keeps getting hit and blowing me up. I swapped the gauss for an auto cannon and have had much more success but it's still not worth $15 to me when I got the other three for $20.

Should get your pack within the hour of purchase/your payment being confirmed. If your bank takes a few days to clear a purchase, then it could be a few days before PGI gets your money, and thus days before you get your mechs.

If you have any serious issue (such as your payment clearing, but still not getting your mech pack within a day), contact support and you should get an answer. It can take a while for support to get to you, as sometimes they get a back log. They are very helpful though, and well worth the wait. (Support can sometimes take a week to get to you, often less than that fot an issue such as being exampled here.)

While I do not have marauders I should tell you they are low on my 'to kill' list of mech targets because I find them rather tanky. They're not horribly low, cuz they still seem to bring the firepower, but seriously, standard engine marauders feel like tiny stalkers when fighting em.

Don't know why, but I find that damage doesn't seem to apply properly to them (nor Stormcrows as of late). I have an Atlas that, when brawling, can drop another Atlas in 3-4 Alphas. Somehow, a Marauder (and Stormcrow) can seem to survive over 6 Alphas, and still have armor...

But overall, even without that, they seem like solid mechs to me.

as others have said buy them and provided your payment clears instantly you should get the Mechs within an hour, pack purchases are supposed to be delivered on the hour

the Marauder is my best performing Mech, I use an STD350 engine and an energy only load out, I find them exceptionally durable, and did not do too bad with an XL350 but the durability and hitboxes definitely favor a standard engine

all the Marauders have the same max armor, if the Hero has more then customize the others.
Tthe Gauss rifle has rather low hitpoints and explodes when damaged, couple that with the fact that the Hero Maraduer takes an XL engine stock and you have a recipie for disaster.

what you want is to totally rework the weaponry to make room for a Standard engine, preferably a STD300, that cuts down on the amount of weapons you can take but being faster and more agile means you are likely to be able to escape from trouble, making the Mech much more survivable.

the cbill bonus is worth the extra IF you can get on with the Mech.

Hi Having a problem in MechLab trying to fit A BAP in to my Catapult-A1.
I can fit the Command Console and have weight and slots enough but the BAP is marked with the O/ can't use symbol in the warehouse pane.
Any help would be appreciated.
I really need that BAP for PUGging as there are so many ECM equipped Mechs out there.

Sorry found the problem.
I already had one equipped.
There were EVEN MORE! ECM equipped Mechs out there than I thought.
Now trying a Command Console to cut through all the Jamming.
Wish I could carry 2 UAVs.

How does one go about purchasing Premium Time only..? I can buy the gold money off the web page and did so. But I cannot find a thing about PT only without having to buy some Mech set up deal that has 30 day attached to it. Very confusing.

From the mwo forums: go to the store tab, then to give store, then to game content. This option uses real money.

From in game: go to store tab on top then to boosters tab on the left. This option uses MC

Is there a way to save multiple control configurations, a la MW3? I don't see a way to do it in the GUI.

Thanks!
