AKA the catapults
And i bought the varant that i played the least first! The A1!
Regen
However...I have been getting some words that a dual LRM15 would be more effective then my current Dual LRM 20. I could grab AMS with the freed up tonnage, or jumpjets....
my A1 is used 100% as firesupport, hence the XL 210.
So are these words correct?..i could do alot with 6 extra tonnes

Consider slapping in a pair of streak launchers too in that case.

And the reason people say LRM 15s on an A1 is because then there is no extra volley to consider (15 + 5 vs 15), the grouping is a bit tighter naturally for the LRM 15s (Artemis helps too), and 2 15s use ammo at a bit slower rate than 2 20s.

The new and improved Regen. Loving it way more now. And yeah im sticking to SRM's because of the gigantic spamming of ECM's.

Doesn't Beagle drop lock times by 30%?

30% less locking time
Swapped the SRM's for streaks for the moment. Gonna give it some playtime tommorow..

Works alright, but it is an easy build to run as you don't need to worry about aiming.

This is what I like for an LRM/Streak hybrid on the A1. XL 300 and four jumpjets lets you get into the optimal engagement range of 180-270 meters as often as possible. It is a tad expensive, but the XL 300 is definitely worth it on pretty much all catapult variants.

Which can be nasty for the target

He's suggesting Cats are EVIL. Which kinda makes sense, since kittens are The Evil.....
Anyway, back on topic. BAP does not increase lock time, but it's still important for LRMs because it helps keep a ECM light from being able to run up and shut down your locks. And it puts your sensor range out to 1 km, so you can actually lock on yourself at full range without needing the sensor range module. But the module is still good if you have a slot for it, because it gives you an anti-ECM window, which I believe is between 200-250 meters.

I run something similar, but with quad SRM4. Streaks are for light hunting, I want something to finish the big boys after I run out of LRM ammo.

Actually, "Regen" is the german word for "rain"

Sensor range module does not increase the ECM Jamming range of the BAP, and I honestly wish people would stop confusing newbies by saying it does.
If you have a BAP, you jam ONE enemy ECM out to a range of 150m.
The ONLY way to increase this is to use a mech that carries ECM, ansd switch the ECM to counter. THis will give you 180m jamming range, for ONE enemy ECM.
2 ECM lights? You`re always screwed.
1 Light intelligent enough to circle between 150-180m: You`re still screwed w/o having your own ECM
1 light stupid enough to close to < 150m: ignore or frag.

I can jam one out to 150m, but I can still lock at around 280m on an ecm enabled mech. But only if I have the beagle unit installed
Try it sometime, you can lock it and shoot it. It may be an extension of the 200m range to lock an ecm mech but you can still lock and fire within that 280ish window
