No jabs at a Raven hero? Not one? I'm disappointed guys...

Hmm let's see... "Fried Tetatae"

Two flamers, one in each arm (hot wings... get it?)
Two MG's, center torso
Two SRM6's, one in each side torso
One or two JJ's, just enough to "flap its wings"
FAST!

And yes I'm craving me some KFC's right now...

I really want to see the hunchie and the BJ because they have time line available variants which can be easily added without making something up and breaking the game.

I will be beyond pissed if they do that.

The AH was a mech introduced in the game already, and while it had 3 ballistics and 2 missiles, it was always the slowest of the Centurions, and to restore it as a purchase only mech would be beyond insulting to those of us who waited so long for it to be restored. (Of the Centurions it was the lowest end in terms of engine size, by a full -25 rating compared to other standard centurions).

That said... A non-hero BJ-2 is quite overdue.

So actually doing what you want is insulting to you just because it didn't happen when you wanted it?

Guess we all should be mightly insulted by everything PGI does since everything PGI does is delayed by anywhere from a week up to a year.

It's insulting because bringing a Cbill mech back as a "hero" mech that I have to pay 15 dollars for is b.s. I wouldn't mind throwing some money for skipping the grind, but I don't want to buy the AH back as a cash only mech. The AH was the only Centurion limited to a 250 engine, and it had no energy weapons (read; essentially no defense against spiders and entirely ammunition dependent). It would be b.s. to make it a cash only mech. Especially when the same thing can be done, better, with a Shadowhawk.

It was slower than dirt, used exclusively 2 missile hardpoints and 3 ballistic hardpoints, and could not zombie like any other Centurion. So yes. I would be pissed if they took the OP's idea and turned it into a second Centurion hero mech. It was a cbill mech. The reasons for removing it are gone. The Wang is in every respect superior. There is no reason to make the AH a cash only mech.

I want it to be a Hunchback hero personally. It had better have a ballistics slot big enough for my AC-20 too! That's the one "must" for me; the rest I don't particularly care about - I'll outfit it around that 20.

I wanted a Catapult, but one that looked cool.

Not like the Jester. My poor eyes.

Willing to bet the hero Hunchback will be very close to an HBK-4N. During CB I was really wondering why we didn't have a 4N to choose from. Pretty sure they will recycle this variant to make a hero.

UPDATED!

The Novemeber Hero is the Jester. This seemingly all energy hard points catapult will offer K-2 fans some joy and the rest of us some pain!

Thus I've removed the catapult votes. As it was in second place a few of you should recast your votes!

Topic updated to reflect the Jester! although I am disappointed that it has no monocle I am a bit excited that it is another founders mech now given a hero. WTB HERO HUNCHIE PLZ!!!!!

In thinking about it Ask the Devs 50 and no hero light until spring, at least 3 more hero I updated the poll at the top.

What if we had a hero Phoenix Mech would you be upset? is it too soon? Would a hero shadow hawk be welcomed in the month with the c-bill shadow hawks?

Would you be open to a 2 hero mech month like the Fang-n-Flame heroes which I bought the same day?

Would you buy two Black Jacks?

Something like
BJ-2 & BJ-4: Double Trouble?
BJ-2 Ballistics & Missiles in the arms
BJ-4 Double Ballistics in the arms

Twin brothers on the periphery of the royal Davion family are seeking to prove their worth to the federation and to their family. They pilot their blackjacks onto the battle field together adorned in similar custom paint schemes highlighting their heroic victories. These two mechs come loaded with top tier technologies purchased with their family's wealth.

We need a 4th Jenner variant!

I just cannot buy a K Jenner.

Oh you poor poor Jenner pilots, with a two versions of the F and two of the D; plus the JR7-K, despite being clearly the worst Jenner, is also clearly still a much better mech than any other light except maybe the RVN-3L/SDR-5D. For a detailed analysis, you can read a post comparing the JR7-K to its closest competitors; the result is clear that the K is still miles better, despite being the worst jenner.

You guys can have a proper hero mech once there are some worthwhile other lights to pilot.

Of course, that said, the last light hero we got was the Death's Knell back in what, January? Ten months later, it's still the only light hero, despite the ten heavy/assault heroes and the three medium heroes. Oh, and Bryan says we won't get another light hero until spring, meaning there will be at least five more hero mechs released before lights get a second.

Jester will be my first hero mech. Then followed by my vote of a Hero Jenner and my vote for a Hero Thunderbolt.

I really want a Raven hero but it has to have ECM so PGI has to get over their hate-***** for ECM first.

I voted for the trenchbucket. I love the Hunchback, the hero mech based on the 4N would be nice, but for some reason I think the trebuchet needs some love. I hardly see it in matches sense the kintaro came out.

I would like to see raven hero mech.

Raven Hero: Lenore

RA: 2E
LA: 2E
LT: 1M
RT: 1M
4 jump jets
2 module slots.
XL 210

Another option, trade the missile points for a tag in the RT, a 5th jump jet, and third module slot.

Spider Hero

RA: 1E
CT: 2E
LA: 1E
2 module slots
5 jump jet

The battlemaster as a great cannon variant. It's called the Hell singer. It's rather ballanced too. PGI would only need to add a missile or energy hard point.

Quote

BLR-1GHE BattleMaster HellSlinger This Star League Era variant removes the Machine Guns and SRM launcher and their ammunition. The SRM launcher is replaced by three Streak SRM-2 launchers with a single ton of ammunition. Two forward Medium Lasers are removed, and an extra PPC is mounted in the left arm. Sixteen Double Heat Sinks keep the 'Mech cool, and the 'Mech's armor is upgraded to Ferro-Fibrous armor. An extra half ton of armor is also installed.

Things I would buy would be a (without much thought)
  • HERO Spider with ECM and a Missle slot.
  • HERO Jenner with ECM (unlikely to see this)
  • HERO Quickdraw (depends on build - already own 3)
Would possibly consider buying(if they had JJ and decent Mount points):
  • Blackjack
  • Treb
Would not buy because either have mastered out or just don't want:
  • Hunchback(currently have Founders and never even run that)
  • Raven
