Atlas Headbox Glitched (Maby Just Founders?)

I've been headshotted out of my AS7-D(F) three games in a row today after the patch. Before the patch I've played countless games in my Founders Atlas and barely received any head damage.

And elsewhere on the forum here too. So I'll just say what the other guy did. Maybe it was the hitbox being fixed. It used to be smaller than every other Mech's, except maybe a Spider's.

It's messed up. Founder's Atlas is a death trap now.

PGI updated the atlas model (ballistic/missile on torso : you see what weapons are equiped now) and apparently screw the founder.

Looks like they have enlarged the heat hitbox also on the normal Atlases. The issue it's that Founders' cockpit is flat, so there's less parallax errors from enemy shots than on let's say D-DCs or else because that cockpit is "depressed" into the head.

Looks also like that part of the upper cheek is now part of the head hitbox, while before it was part of the upper palpebra and the hitbox overextends itself to the limit of the head to the left, roughly something like this:

So due to the movement nerf and metagame it's a lot of time I don't even bring my founder for a spin (as well as the D-DC), I guess it will keep dusting off in my hangar even more than it usually does.

As usual PGI can't restrain from changing things that shouldn't be touched.

Actually, I would have to modify this to be: "As usual PGI releases content with insufficient testing" ... if they had actually played a founders atlas in test or if they had automated testing procedures then these issues could often be found and resolved before release to the live servers.

It sounds like the founders Atlas now has the entire head hit box (as was used in closed beta - which sounds like a regression bug) while the other Atlai may have larger head hit boxes than before the patch.

No it shouldn't look at my image above and check it yourself in the mechlab by clicking near the eye, it's not like back in CB, but the surface is basically doubled since the previous patches.

I think the F atlas is at the moment a work in progress, eg. they're going to implement the weapon change system and a new skin.

Work in progress results in unintended (and maybe un-playtested) outcomes is a bad combination for the game, and shamefully impacts the very players that pumped their money in to the game to get it started.

I am not a "founder" deserves more than anyone person, but I at least should have a viable mech that I purchased to use without this crappy type of bug being introduced keeping me from using the founder's Atlas.

Come on PGI - get your collective {Scrap} together and fix this sooner than later. Quit testing on the public...remember, we left that Beta tag behind a few weeks back. You had a party and all that?

Please fix this with urgency.....

Tests confirm that only the Atlas F is affected. Hitbox registers as the entire left side of the head (side that the cockpit is on)

I can confirm the atlas founders variant is affected. The head hitbox is almost half the head as the previous poster mentioned.

The solution to this is to;

STANDARDIZE HEAD HITBOXES BASED ON CHASSIS SIZE AND SPEED

********. This needed to be fixed. The large laser beam was larger than the entire cockpit and though even centered upon it the cockpits often would not take damage. The only problem now is that the founders geometry is a little bugged.

Strange, I've headshotted many atlases with LL or ER LLs without hassle with the hitbox of the PREVIOUS patches lol.
