I'm surpirised that comando's arn't rotated more for light mechs as there is one more, two if you count the Deaths Knell, than the other chasis and when one pops up its the 2D

Idiotic sale name [X]
Even more idiotic meaningless lore for the idiotic sale [X]
Brought down servers just for idiotic sale [X]
Yep, all the signs of another PGI MWO sale....
On a side note: I got an email today, after you've already patched the new map and hero mech, try sending it out before and people would notice.

1. The forums of late have had some here and there angst about no new light mechs for a long while. This is sort of true, the last light got skipped so it has actually been quite a while. This sale may be in response to that. Thats the optimistic viewpoint.
2. More importantly, if we look at the recent history of sales, we will see the things that go on sale are either a: soon to be put on the back burner because a new shiny of the same weight class or of similar use is coming soon, or b: within the next week somthing is going to happen to said item, nerf, usually. Look for instance at the Uac5 nerf, Illya went on sale the Friday before. May have been the same sale, but the week before Protector came out there was some heavy mech sale. They put the Dragon Slayer out right before they nerfed the PPC. (edit, may also have been right before the gauss change, dont recall but seems right)
it is a quick money grab thing, but not quite as evil as that appears. Really, they look at the "meta" as people call it, see whats really popular(or going to get hacked soon because of it) and put it on sale presumably to appeal to the most potential buyers of this popular item/mech that can use popluar item.
So from this we can take:
We know Locust is soon, this might be a sale on other lights before the Locust puts a crimp in the sales for a while on these models.
Possibly, something is coming down the pipe to change lights, jump jets, or maybe(hopefully) spider hitbox or hit detection in general. "Sell this stuff before the nerd rage hits and players jump off the light wagon!"
Honestly, either one of those things, or both, is likely.

But maybe it was just they were to busy. I know though if this was the canned response for every sale thread( pages of trash) I sure would quit making threads for it.

Same here. I want a Misery and Dragon slayer, but I know if I buy them, they'll be on sale the next weekend. So I'll wait.

Supervisor: Any ideas?
Lame staffer 1: Duh.... hmmmm...
Lame staffer 2: (picking nose)
Lame staffer 3: (scratches butt)
Lame staffer 4: How about a sale discounting 3 lame mechs, throw in some camo, add some colors, and stupid cockpit items?!
Lame staffer 5: AWESOME!

If you want to be optimistic, the non-Phoenix 'Mech of the Month might also be a Light. It'd be interesting to see what would happen if two Light chassis came out at the same time.
2 'Mechs a month starts this month, right?

How is that frightening....they are all slow as hell and have no armor. Clearly one-shots. I don't fear one-shots.

Nope, the Phoenix Mechs will be the mechs of the months. No need for a second model...

Also, I like the camo. I dislike how its only for one mech chassis. Like, I have to ask, what the hell is going through your heads when you decided "Lets make these camos, but if you buy the whole thing, you can only apply it to one chassis type"? I probably would've gotten the last camo if it weren't for that, and I'd certainly get this camo if it weren't for that.

I completely agree with this sentiment. In fact, i would be in favor of raising the price if it allowed the camo to apply to all mechs.
Here is an idea: keep the pricing in the two points we have now: single use and per chassis, but then add a third price point for : All chassis.
