If you want to quote table-top rules, then please go actually read the rules before spouting nonsense. As FupDup said, they're actually adhering to them.

If they were going to adhere strictly to tabletop rules:
A. The game would have turned out terribly
B. It would be called BattleTech
In conclusion: Idiotic post is idiotic.

If only it weren`t for the fact that the constitution only has 27 Amendments....
Exact same thing here, using the TT rules to support your argument, thereby displaying a profound lack of knowledge of those same rules = priceless

As a legendary founder you would expect to know something about the battletech universe, but you don't it seems. Bought the account (which would be stupid as this is a free to play, or maybe you wanted the freebies someone told you about...)?

As a legendary founder, one of my favorite mechs in closed beta was a 3xAC5 Hunchback HBK-4G(F) with 6 heat sinks. The change to require 10 heatsinks was not always in-game.
And PGIs current implementation of engine weight is differnt that TT, when you buy your engine only the heatsinks it contains are accounted for (and the gyro and cockpit weight as well), not the 10 it is required to carry. Furthermore, there is no indication in the game that you must carry 10.

Depending on which side you're describing, you're wrong or.... well... you're wrong.
In MWO, the game flat-out tells you 'you must have X heat sinks' when you leave the MechLab, where 'X' is 10 minus the number of heat sinks contained within the engine structure yourself. So there is an indication that you must carry 10.
In the tabletop, the rules have stated for ages 'Every BattleMech comes with ten heat sinks that do not count against the total tonnage'. So there is an indication that you must carry 10.
