If the company mentions a date for a release should be taken from the International Date Line not when the company finally gets it *** outta bed and goes to work, as it is it is now 0134 HRS on the 16th and to my way of thinking that is LATE DELIVERY

If you use that logic, then it isn't late until after the last hour of the last time zone today. Delivery on the 15th means *on the 15th*, not before it.

You're not a special and unique snowflake. Please get this garbage out of here.

ps- Please notice time stamps on your forum posts. That is the relative time the company is working from.

Well, I for one was really hoping to try the new mechs before going to work. So yeah, should have occurred at 12:01 am.

/facepalm

Content comes after patches folks. This is not MwO exclusive. Call it server maintenance, patch, whatever. . it's pretty common in the industry.

I'm just as anxious as the rest of you, but it is what it is.

While I am not refuting your sentiment, PGI is in fact based out of Vancouver BC (Canada). BUt does share a time zone with Cali

you know the saying of a watched pot never boils? Thats pretty much what you got going on here, cause you know when they DO get out of bed, have their timmys and put a fresh hamster into the server they are going to have things offline for a few hours probably if not more.

(would the vancouver version be "a watched pot is never smoked'?)

Yea come on people it's not the end of the world that we gotta wait till a server restart or patch today. I'm sure we all have other things we can do to bide the time lol.

I'd love to see the King Crab make an appearance (ie. a mech that was actually designed to carry dual AC20s). I think they could get away with redesigning the Warhammer, Marauder, and Ostol, as the names were never the problem. They'd just have to make it look different.

So look here:

Models out of the early 80s, you'll see a lot of mechs that made the leap straight into the Battletech world and a few directly from the Phoenix Project. Skipping the weird aqua one, that's the Griffin, (skip), Shadowhawk, (skip), Wolverine, Thunderbolt, (skip), Thunderbolt again, Scorpion, (skip), (skip), Goliath.

I would like to see a four-legged mech, though - would be interesting to have a mech with a 360 torso twist.

Side note: I had that 1:48 scale Wolverine and it's one of the main reasons the Wolverine's my favorite mech. Really stoked for that one dropping in a couple months.

I had the Griffin model years ago which is what prompted me to buy the pack, I also cant wait for the drop in December.

Actually, the delivery of in-game content such as new Mech Models and stuff has nothing to do with the "timezone" of interest... it all relates to when Patches are disseminated. If the game is regularly patched at a particular time every other week, then that's when the content is *expected* to be delivered. Mech Models and skins would constitute a significant patch, and so we should all expect the Phoenix Pack contents to be delivered with the Oct 15th Patch (as the Developers have always said), and not to be expecting the delivery of game content at some odd hour in the night that contrasts with the established patching schedule...

Gotta love these Forums. Classic stuff. An announcement to allow the "end game" of the Phoenix Packs to be finalized. "Want out? Now is the time!" Then the usual "self entitlement" stuff and finally, somehow PGI got moved to California over the weekend. LOL! Classic stuff... indeed.

This thread is proof of how entitled people feel and generally how stupid they are too. I mean, people are actually complaining about not getting their Phoenix mechs at midnight?! Midnight has never been a patch time for this game and most likely never will....stupid stupid stupid

I'm debating if I want to get all 4 Davion so I don't have to swap out medallions whenever I switch between my 4 'Ready' 'mechs or go with 4 different factions (which would be useful in a Merc Corps). I may only be in a Merc Corps if they change the rules to allow for units smaller than a full company to participate in CW. If not, I'll be going FedSuns, and probably separated from a number of my friends who will choose other factions.

I don't like to interrupt your important debate about if it's late or not. But it's starting! :)
