I've been looking on BattleTechWiki and saw this Mech:

Wouldn't the Berserker be cool?
Melee and 86kmp/h with a 100ton Assault Mech?
Ideas?

And I didn't know the Berserker was later then MWO is.

But I still think it would be awesome.
Slicing off an arm instead of shooting.

But you know, "melee" mechs in a mech game without a good melee system probably won't do very well.

Maybe after 7 years if MWO still goes they add it.

EDIT... Oh cool, more melee mechs!
You think there's a chance?

SWEET! I find melee in a shooter awesome!

That's why I noticed the Berserker right away. Almost 90kmp/h with 100tons. <3
Let's hope they add melee!

A. At this point in time we are not looking at melee combat. We may revisit melee combat if we can design something that is fun and does not compromise the overall gameplay experience."

Also why do people assume that the In Game Year translates to 1 actual year of real time? I highly doubt they'll do that, what with all the impatient people wanting all their clans/futuremechs.

Because the ISN news advances real time.
Because the Dev picked a specific start date for the game that would give them (barely) enough time to add clan based technology.
Because an equal or greater number of players are not interested in clans/futuretech.

So you'll be playing this game for 10+ years? I highly doubt it will stay 1y=1y

Probably because the devs said it would.
This is where I ask you to prove it.

Ouch.
I've readed the FAQ...
How did I miss that..? >_>
Anyhow:
Let's hope they can add it nicely!

No where in that sentence does it say that 1 year of ingame time will be 1 year of real time. So you're going off of a very large assumption, of what you think it meant. It says when the story was written and what year it will be in game when it releases.
