as the title says, who would buy?

Since the Boar's Head shows we are revisiting mechs to add hero variants, wanted to throw this out there. I'd love a Hero 'Jack. We could call it the Ubodo, or some such.

It could be the only BlackJack with missles, or something.

Yeah, enough people quickly developed an abiding affection for it. Could be a quick money maker imo.

no not for me, every time I use one its a very quick death. maybe other peeps have luck with them...one volley of missiles and i was dead no thx.

mastered all but the 1DC, haven't had a problem with them.

Or do you mean how they seem to shuck damage for a mech so light?

EDIT: Just noticed SgtMagor's post, wierd... they've seemed oddly durable to me. Which you have to leverage the maneuverability, and never run them as a front line brawler, but.. eh

K, try to use a Blackjack with 2 AC's and 4 ML's, stock engine. Turn your Mech to the side, and try not to take CT damage. Not possible. The CT sticks out and is hit from the side. Easy. Twisting is irrelevant and the hitboxes are s h i t.

300 engine cap w/ JJs, I'm on board. Making a viable 2x, 3x, or even 4x PPC build. That, or 2x AC2s with even higher potential as a harasser than it has at the moment. Imagine something moving at 125 KPH with 450 rounds of AC2 ammo

I would... actually possibly consider it. And that's saying something, because I've never even been *tempted* by any of the existing hero mechs. Some of them, like the ilya or misery, I like the design of and would have definitely picked up as part of mastering those chassis if they were available for cbills, but I've never felt any urge to spend MC on any of them. They're all too expensive for my tastes.

A Blackjack hero, though...? If the design appealed to me, I think I'd actually be tempted. Blackjacks are probably my favorite chassis right now, and if it looked like a nice ride I might consider it. The fact that it would be a bit more reasonably priced than most heroes thanks to its lower tonnage wouldn't hurt, either.

If it has ballistic, energy and in I'd buy it happily. Oh who am I kidding, I'd buy it no matter what.

The only Blackjack hero that is in lore is the "Arrow" piloted by Miohael Obodo. It would probably be a BJ-2 with a higher engine cap and two arm ballistics + energy instead of the likely four arm energy hardpoints on any C-bill variant BJ-2.

I know I was supposed to see a Vulture in there, but instead, all I saw was an Avatar.

As far as missile Blackjacks go, I'd much more prefer if they finally fulfilled their supposed variant additions to older mechs and simply gave us BJ-2.

I'd buy it only if it had:

At least a 250 engine cap
At least 1 ballistic arm slot
Jumpjets

Don't care about missiles although it would be cool in the torso.
