So yeah. 9 days till we have like, Yo, Phoenix mechs and stuff coming. Been building around phoenix mechs the last hour yo, and this is what i cooked...Took all of my pseudo



BLR-1G

TDR-5S

SHD-2H

LCT-1V

How bout we keep it cool and keep it one mech per model?

Your title gave me false hope that they had decided to release them early :D.

I haven't felt this sad since the last time I saw Pada Vinsion's name and then realized it wasn't "Panda Vision".

-Hot fix: fixed false hope title into proper title

Not sure what I'm gonna do with the Battlemaster... seems as though its hardpoints can't really be used to their full potential without true 2.0 DHS.

I guess I'll just run this until I figure out a better config.

Why would you take FF over Endo on the Locust?

This would be better imo: LCT-1V

There's no need for DHS on a locust. This would be a better config if you can do without AMS.

The stock one with upgrades isn't half bad you just have to chain your lasers instead of alpha with them and situationaly use your PPC and SRMs

Well they also will be able to mount a 190 max instead of the 170 the builder currently lists. So you could do with 1 less out of engine sink

Ah, thanks for the heads-up. I wasn't aware.

An XL190 weighs two more tons than an XL170. Revised model, with the two unused tons reserved for the increased engine size.

Where did you see that since nothing on the Phoenix page says anything about 190 being the max engine size?

Max size is determined by the stock size + some number or something. I don't remember, I'm just here for the big stompy battlemechs :P.

Can't post a Locust design, since smurfy doesn't have the info for its engine increase. As for the Battlemaster, well, I'm a bit clueless as to which direction to go with it :P

the battlemaster seems like a beast but i also just cant think of much to do with it out of its stock load-out. i will probably be swapping off its MG's for some heat sinks for more stable Medium laser and PPC fire and i might swap the SRM 6 off for a SSRM 2 to keep those pesky light mechs away and more weight for more heat sinks (i'm heat efficiency crazy), don't wanna be having the issue boars head has with its 6 arm lasers.

EDIT: i took a look at the project phoenix art and i couldn't help but notice that the things side torsos are basically massive billboards and since everyone knows that a huge amount of its weapons are there i say its going to be extremely unsafe to mount a XL in there. also the thing looks like it would draw fire from others. you see a atlas and its slowly moving at like 40 kpm but then you see something called a frigging battlemaster going 64.8 or more you chances are you are going to want to shoot it. also because its the new shiny mech that no one else can have its going to draw attention.

gonna try out all the mechs with stock weapons so I can get an idea how it performs. the BLR-1G looks like it will be a good fast striker with stock load out, chain fire monster.

I would swap some of that Streak ammo on the 2H for UAC-5 ammo

I was just going to strip the 'mechs as soon as I got them, then start throwing things in until I find something that works.

Why are you using an XL160? It weighs the exact same as an XL170 but goes slower.
