Since you guys are discussing GFX card support please take a look at this topic here, its a very pertinent question in my opinion.

Glad to see you keeping us in the loop, too bad about the delay, if it doesnt start until the end of summer the servers might be a lil lonely.

then again... we cant expect too many people still in school to be into this series, since it hasn't had a proper PC game since they would have been in grade school, so maybe server population wont suffer

Proper PC game... now theres one for discussing... personally I most enjoyed Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries and was in high school when I played that one. My first real experience with online gaming was this one... old dial up.... lag shooting...ahh good times. But I am getting a little off topic here I suppose. System specs for me are all good. Got my founders pack... can't wait to get involved in this game soon in any way that I can. (Pokes the Devs... poke poke poke....) :(

Bought my founders pack as soon as I heard about this game. Absolutely cannot wait to play this after so many years away from Mechwarrior :) ... And I love that I already far surpass even the highest specs for this haha!!

(Please do some research before posting)

I KNOW you are Wrong.

I know what the awnser is already I was just trying to get an offical awnser. Reguarding the technical aspects of Open GL and shader Models.

Gt8800
Coreclock 600 mzh
Shader Clock 1500mzh
Memory Clock 900mzh
Memory 512MB
Memory Interface 256-bit
Bandwidth 57.6 GB/sec
DX9 (DXmaybe Dx10 with newer ones)
Open Gl past 2.1

INTEL HD2000
Coreclock 650–1250mzh
MemClock * System speed
ShaderClock * System speed -
Memory Up to 1720MB
Memory Interface 256-bit
Bandwidth 21.3GB/sec
DX10.1
OpenGl 3.1

And most important the intel has 6 Execution units compaired to the nvidia

The Newer Intel HD (Intell 4000) Specs out with 16 execution threads, Shader 5.0, Dx11 Open GL 4.0, and this is FAR beoynd most of the 2xx Series of the Nvidia stand alone cards.

(removed)

RaNDoMPReCiSioN I now wait for the change to crush you in combat, on my "poor" work machine.

Wow such a heated response. I was only making light assumptions and humour, for that is what forums are for. No need to ramp up the defenses buddy.

From the data above, it's clear your Intel HD is heavily reliant on system resources to subsidise its own needs and performance. In contrast my gtx560ti has:

memory (2048mb GDDR5)
shader (822Mhz,)
core (1645Mhz)
memory (2004Mhz)

with no reliance on cpu or system memory and that is where it matters most. Anyway, I'll leave you to your own theory, so good luck with it mate

But I do love a challenge - GAME ON !!

hehe
Can't wait for this game to come out. I really hope I get picked for next the beta influx.

Well we will see if I can even play, given I do not own Vista or Windows 7 and my RAM seem to be smaller.

Not likely. Your graphics card would definitely be a limitation. Before I upgraded to the GTX 670 my amd 6950 would struggle with Crysis 2 running DirectX11. This game looks to be slightly more intensive than that.
