I dont know what is going on but this is becoming a regular thing in games where some of the heaviest mechs, mostly atlas for me are getting the lowest damage usually 20-40 dmg. how does this even happen.

I dont know if this people joining dying so they can move on to the next match? but Ive watched a ddc just walk out into the middle on the Tourmaline map, he didnt disconnect just sat there.

But the amount of times that someone doesnt even make it past 40 dmg is starting to get annoying because these are the mechs that should be easily breaking 2-300 no problems.

Anyone else noticing this?

Oh and while im at it disconnecters need to be taken care of, its really turning into a joke when there is almost 1 disconnect or afk a match.

Bads have always existed, but they are probably a more common sight now that release has happened. Russ said they hit peak concurrency record this past Sunday, so I assume it's all the scrubs.

Most likely culprit is it's all in your head. I haven't seen any correlation between tonnage and damage output, except for the tendency for lights to do less. Now that you're paying attention to it, you're probably seeing it a lot more than it actually happens.

Sometimes this happens when a slow mech gets caught in an engagement it was unprepared for, and (being a slow mech) it can't disengage, so it gets ripped to pieces while only getting a few max range ppc or laser hits in.

That because they are getting headshot early on...easy to do currently until PGI fixes the hitbox size on the head of the atlas. I tend to find them, ping them, kill them in one shot sometimes.

That might explain some of the weird issues I was having with MM this last week...lots of scrubs...derping around like imbeciles...and for some reason I got stuck on baby-sitting duty for a couple days.

It sucked.

It would be better if there weren't any more new players at all, right guys?

:)

No. On the contrary...it would be better if the matchmaker worked so that new players wouldn't have to be thrown into a meat grinder.

Haha, well that explains it :). I played at an unusual time of the day for me and wondered if its the time of the day what was wrong but it seems that was not it. Some really really bad players.

I'll believe that when there's a player counter that works.

How about all those "First time playing Mechwarrior Online" twitch streams that have been popping up recently?

Hush, you. Don't you know MWO is dying? Whyever else would they remove the player counter that didn't show the correct number? THERE IS NO REASON! MWO IS DYING I'S TELLS YOU! DYYYYYING! Or my rage will have been for naught, and we can't have that, now can we?

Wow.

It must really suck to be an uber ace mech pilot forced to play matches with the unwashed masses of nOObs. :)

Everyone has a bad game now and then.

I only did 100 odd damage yesterday because i followed a few of guys to Epsilon on Canyon Network and the entire enemy team walked round the corner.

OH MY GOD THEY'RE MULTIPLYING!

We got scrubs
They're multiplyin'
And we're losing control

The firepower
they're supplyin'
Is dissatisfyin'!

You better shape up,
'cus I need a 'Mech
And I dropped in game with you

You better shape up,
you better understand
That your aim - it must be true...
