This basically sums up my feelings about Founders who think they should get special treatment in regards to Phoenix

With you on that one... it was clearly stated what you got... if you didn't like that, then you shouldn't have bought it... I for one am still happy I became a Founder... even happier I'll be getting my Overlord package this coming Tuesday!

Apparently PGI agrees with Founders who think they should get special treatment in regards to Phoenix. How does it make you feel that Founders who buy Phoenix do, in fact, receive special treatment?

Taken from the FAQ,

Q: What type of added benefit will existing Founders receive upon purchase of any Project Phoenix package?
A: Great news for Founders, as a purchase of any of these packs will reward Founders with a unique and exclusive hanging cockpit item displaying their specific Founder's tier in the item's design.

Q: If I am also a Founder, can I choose between my founders forum badge and Project Phoenix forum badge?
A: Yes, similar to how you are currently able to change your forum avatar, you will be able to choose to show your Project Phoenix Package Icon. Changing your In-Game badge will be possible once that functionality is added to the game.

Q: Will Founders receive their unique cockpit hanging item on October 15th along with all other package contents?
A: Yes, all items will be awarded on October 15th.

Are you truly "with him" considering you -- a legendary founder -- benefit from additional perks when you bought your Overlord package simply due to your founder status? No wonder you will be even happier [than him].

A special hanging cockpit item for free? Ok, I'll take it. I think it's unnecessary, but I won't turn down free stuff.

Eh, IF Founder's deserve "special treatment" so far as Project Pheonix goes, I think a cockpit item isn't the way to go. But I am not claiming I want / need / deserve more in that regards. I have my complaints, but still largely feel the Founder's Pack was a good deal. My big piece of advice would be "make the Founder's Mechs worth it again" in some fashion.

In response to this update, I am playing again, and even ordered Project Pheonix (though UlitmatePay is giving me a rash and won't let me order the Sabre package and I wants my Wolverine!!!)

Hopefully they will get it sorted out before absolute deadline, or PGI / IGP Support can assist me if not.

Told you those of us who were angry could be won back and be reasonable :(

I wish I had found out about MWO early enough to have been a founder. /sad

Anyways, I think founders should get something special for being around then AND now. Another hanging doodad, though? You only have space for one at a time, so that is pretty worthless IMO. I think upgrading their founders mechs and/or making special forum badges that combine the two packages ("Founding Phoenix") would be cool, even though I wouldn't get one either way.

The flame pattern is exclusive in that only phoenix buyers get it for free. For free is the exclusive part B)

Am I truly with him? Dude... you're a Founder too LOL! There's really no added benefit to being a Founder and purchasing the Project Phoenix packages... other than what? A hanging medallion to show I'm a Legendary Founder... oh, and I can change my forum avatar depending on the mood I strike? You, sir, are laughable LOL! Only "perk" I get is getting all my Phoenix Mechs (Phoenix variant boost included) first... instead of waiting each month during the winter for each model to roll out... and I probably paid more than they are worth but I'm also supporting the Devs in keeping them funded with his endeavor. Your point being?

You missed my point
I'm talking about founders upset that they didn't get PP free or something
The ones that feel "ripped off" simply because it exists and they aren't getting anything but a cockpit item
Maybe "special treatment" was the wrong phrase
I think entitled is more like it.
Considering Founders received what they paid for in the closed beta I would like to think feeling "ripped off" at this point (aside from the state of the game) is a bit silly.

My point being that it's dishonest to pretend that founders aren't getting special treatment. If you think the treatment is underwhelming, there's nothing I can do to fix that.

It's also dishonest to be "with" some non-founder who spoke out against founders getting special treatment, unless you intend to toss aside your founders' special treatment as a show of solidarity. That would be very noble of you.

Spoke out?
Like a difference in opinion is treason or something?
I never said Founders didn't get any "special treatment"
I said that it's ridiculous they felt they were entitled to it and feeling "ripped off" is childish.
You seem to think I'm envious of Founder's "special treatment", when really, I couldn't care less about another cosmetic item.
So if you would take 2 minutes to reread my comments and not misunderstand my point, I think you'll see where I'm coming from.

A very cogent explanation of what is coming, and in what order (barring changes). Now was that really that hard? LOL

This is practically no different than a Hero Mech being released before anyone can purchase the Standard Variant of the Mech... perk? Get it early for paying real cash... it has a Mech bonus, yay! I feel no special treatment being directed toward myself as a Founder than a non-paying member of this community because that's how I feel... if you don't put money into this game, should you really be calling out those who did as "treated special" or anything else? No... because my suggestions weigh as much as the next person... Founder or not. So they give me a bonus for the Mech (like Hero Mechs or Founder's)... a useless Founder Medallion and content release early... Need I go on?

i agree i was a mw3-mw4 zone player part of the fun of the zone was just being a chat warrior in between sl.vl.btu.mr. and other league matches.i do miss harassing old friends in lobby finding new teammates most of all bidding a match, where i was able to do this C1 all energy, map, radar off/on/peasoup fog,75 tons. sorry for got how we limited tonnage in the map, team attrition or destruction. so on that is and always will as of right now make thoose games so much better than mwo is at this point in time.
if and when we get this ability it will make this game fun once again.

how many times can you enjoy get in mech run around kill a few and die or not. repeat for nothing other than makeing cash to buy the next mech your going to lvl up.
i would never mind lvling a mech if i could do it in a 3rd person ladder league.
i be honest i was never the top pilot but useally in the top 25.
my xX_Nero_Xx tag in vl some might rember me

I have been one of the qq'ers re joysticks especially, but good effort.
I will now snatch that Roadbeer approved drink (we make better beer here anyway) and chug it.
To less qq
Aaaaaah.

OMFG, if you think a hanging medallion is special treatment for Founders, you probably think a tax refund from the government is special treatment because they didn't keep all your money.

This is going to blow your mind but tax credits, rebates, and exemptions that contribute to the bulk of a tax refund are explicitly special treatment. This is drifting off topic, however.

credit where its due i like the sound of this stuff. cant wait for another game mode to be honest I really hate the current modes. They dont do the game justice and could have been thought up by a 2 year old.

Didn't say "rebate", said "refund". Neither of which I see much of.
