there are plenty of game modes so bringing down their long term goal, which many people like is not productive.
Also being one of those guys who just complains about order of things that need fixing, shouldnt be posting on this suggested feature thread.

We just want this cool thing to make it in 'at some point'

Well, this is a semi-public forum and a little thing called 5th amendment rights. I get that you may not like what I say and see it as a distraction from the positive feedback you want to get, but that is how communication works. You ask people what they thing and they let you know. If you dont like it, then dont ask. BTW, I said it was a nice idea, but IMHO low priority. Really sorry if that is not what you want to hear, but that is how life works.

Ejection should just look like a jet going up after your mech is destroyed, no first person cinematic animation or anything fancy. Death stays as it is, just adding a clear jet representing your ejection after you are killed along with all those effects we already see after a mech is destroyed. No players taking advantage of ejecting or anything, just the effect. And if your cockpit is destroyed, then no ejection effect at all.

I really want to see something like in the Mechwarrior 4, but a bit differently. You could eject, but only if you have critical damage, then your mech self-destruct like in the Mechwarrior 5 trailer. Yes it's not part of the Mechwarrior frenchaise, but I really like to see it with cryengine.

I wish the whole MWO looks like this movie.

What game looks like the intro movies? Some intro movies are even completely deceptive and have nothing to do with the game play at all.

On the bright side Mechwarrior is similar to this movie in alot of ways and stands to move in this direction more over time.

The thing I miss the most about Mechwarrior 2 is "Critical Hit: Internal Ammo Explosion Detected. Ejecting." lol

What would happen if you were under cover?
(tunnel in Forest Colony or Frozen City, under a bridge in River City or the big hangar in Crimson Strait)

maybe we can get the mech not explod, instead the camera switching to the outside (like when dying) and the mech turning into a shut down pose. That makes more sense then the mech exploding. That would be a simple adjustment not needing amny ressources I think.

also it would allow to place ejected decoys on the battlefield distracting the opponent thinking the mech is still alive.

I made some singleplayer missions for MW4 Mercs with the Map/Mission Editor and I always scripted the player defeated camera to be the view from an escape pod. Pretty easy, looked great, but MWO would need new animations.
