So you feel the OP is "articulate" in its Title then? LOL! If only those who would provide "articulate" feedback could be separated indeed. This thread was DOA dude. Not your feedback not those who disagree means anything when the Title is "Bonus is Up, I'm Out!"

And with that, I take my leave. Never before have I seen such a hateful, hostile, and petty community. You should be ashamed. I thank those who had the decency to contribute, and curse those who did nothing but bash. I'm very sorry to say that this sadly foreshadows a short lifespan for this game. If not from stagnant gameplay, then from an unbearable community. We should be working together to make the game more enjoyable for everyone and nothing else. This game has more issues than just gameplay, and I see that clearly now. I will not be returning to this game even if the C-bill rates change. Why? Because of this thread. I started it to try to help the devs. If I had know it would turn into a kindergarten environment, I wouldn't have said anything. Again, for those who actually contributed (from both directions in a logical and supported manner) and defended against bashers, thank you. If there were more players like you in this community, this game would be much better.

The game has little to aim for outside of making sure your mech doesn't suck outright.

Until there's an endgame goal (CW), it's simply just a grind and there's very little in the way of progression to hold a person's interest unless they find the experience enjoyable.

That "newbie wow syndrome" only lasts so long until you realize... "why am I still doing this?"

stuff

The numbers they gave as to what the average income is right now is pretty absurd in my book and, punishes new players as well as players with less time to spare. If you scare those people off you lose out on content. In the f2p world content is king and players are part of that content be they free players or paying players.

But a new player gets +/- 10Million in 25 Matches to start. That is a 400K average. How can someone who gets 25 Matches @ 400K each turn around and complain that on Match 26, they may only get (insert your own abysmal # here) when that is what everyone else, in your ELO bracket, is also getting.

If they increased the allowed games under the Cadet Bonus time, would those who don't like Match 26's income level see it differently? How much starting funds would be enough? 400 Million? What?

Some folks seem to be attempting to please everyone. Sorry, not going to happen. If all you want is to be happy yourself while disregarding everyone else, then that is why it isn't going to happen.

Tweaks are coming but getting rich in C-Bills ion a week without putting in the time, ain't going to happen. :D

the issue is that cbill rewards are off balance, there needs to be more reward for capping

I dont think so...matches would end within 2 minutes, cuz every light rushes to the other base...

That is easy to answer. Those first 25 matches allow them to purchase one maybe two of a mech assuming they buy a medium or above with some wiggle room to upgrade. When they discover they need 3 of any one mech to level it fully they become aware of how long that will take. The average income per match the devs gave us is 79k, and let's be honest here a new player is going to be lower than that. They are going to complain or they are going to stop playing.

The income for everyone is too low right now. Taking the average numbers given by the devs you are talking roughly 50 hours of in game time to buy one stock Dire Wolf if Clan mechs ever come out, and that is absurd.

True, you can't please everyone, but they can certainly do better than they are. People were not complaining this much before the pay cut.

Yes, they keep saying tweaks are coming, and they even said they would have detailed posts about the economy before launch. It never happened.

Your hyperbole needs more work, it's not believable yet. But the internet badass thing was pretty good. You should throw in that you are special forces and no one would mess with you irl or you'll punch them, or better hunt them down and stick a grenade up their butt. Try stringing a few more adjectives in there somewhere like 'entitled' or 'cretin'. Also throwing a well known meme in for good measure. Something tried and tested like them being a 32yr/old still in Mom's basement.

We come to play, not to grind. We pay to play harder, not to "grind less".

Ahh.. But the grind is the game, is it not?

The whole concept of "the grind" is completely within an individual's head.
If you remove "the grind" what are you left with - combat in Mechs.
What takes place during "the grind" - combat in Mechs.

Think about it.

And the OP has now revealed himself to be a complete sham.

He cites LOL, and then claims our community is the worst he's ever seen.

I average 70-150k per match in my non founders mechs w/o premuim time. My matches tend to last 5-10 mins tops.

Seems legit to me. Too bad we do not have repair and rearm costs like we did mid beta as that definatly effected the sheer tonnage we saw on the battlefield. We saw alot more mediums/lights then we do now.

If you think this grind is bad go play some World of Tanks and then come talk to us.

I see you decided to stop discussing the topic and resorted to attacking someone for having a different opinion to yours. Someone's true colors are showing.

Wow at the underlined. You had trouble getting certs? PS2 is one of the easiest grinds i've ever seen.

Really? What is your trick because without premium time I would spend 3-4 hours earning 100 certs and longer if I would use my favorite class (Infiltrator). As for MWO the cbill nerf hurt where I was making 120-140k every match. 12vs12 comes along and they say "oh with the 4 extra mechs in matches the average cbill per game went up so we are nerfing it" which I was ok with (thinking that it made sense) right up until I played a few matches. A couple months later and my average income is 80-90k with spots and just about getting 12 assists. The only time that I clear the 100k barrier is if I get a few savior kills or I am using one of my Hero mechs. Unfortunately for me the Devs claim that it takes roughly 19 hours to get an Atlas is total bs and that is not including the mandatory upgrades for it.

And yet again, you contributed nothing to this conversation other than accusing someone of something. My point to you was that you accuse someone of being something based on nothing more than "hey, i don't agree with them, lets discredit them so others will disagree with them as well." You are contributing to the toxic atmosphere of the forums and I called you on it, just as I do the other trolls, instigators, and white knights. If you cant' see that then you won't understand anything I just said anyhow. My entire point is, why not post something that actually contributes or at least gives your thoughts and ideas on the subject instead of "Look, he isn't really a new player so we shouldn't listen." when you have absolutely NO proof or reason to do so other than you just didn't like the look of them.

I guess I am just asking why you feel the need to even do that? You have no idea who the poster is, you offered no ideas, thoughts, critique, etc. but felt the need to take the time to basically attack the credibility of someone. You don't see how that does nothing at all to help the game, community, players, at all in any way?

Try actually reading my post. It quite clearly states as the first thing I said that I agree with the OP about the grind because I don't like it either, so your whole point of assuming I'm trying to 'discredit someone so that others will disagree as well' is shown to be complete rubbish. I've commented in other more honest threads on the subject before. Creating false accounts doesn't help the game, community or players at all in any way, and commenting or speculating on that is perfectly legitimate whether you like it and agree with it or not.

It's actually people like you who take it upon themselves to label others as 'trolls, instigators and white knights' and start arguments with them that contribute to the forums being toxic. Hypocrite.

Edit: Also clearly the mods agree with me regarding the validity of this thread since it's been banished to K-town. Says it all really, considering that devs do often reply to actual new players when they post with concerns.
