*Shakes his head* I stopped arguing with these threads a long time ago. Apparently anything people are having issues with personally must be removed or nerfed. So I propose the removal of all other players and mechs. I just want to stomp around blowing up mindless AI tanks that are no match for me. All the forum players agree with me. It's science.

8/10

There's a certain elegance in simplicity, and it's already got enough bites to reach page 2.

If this thread survives through the night, I'm going to make two threads, both identical to yours, but with the words "heavy" and "assault" replacing "light"

I'll make one for mediums. I'm sick of getting killed by wildly overpowered Trebuchets.

Save your energy. The same crowd will always be along to defend their lights. Until PGI fixes the hit detection issues you will always have some issue hitting a light when it's piloted by someone with more than 2 brain cells to rub together.

The unfortunate side effect to that fact is that they will then use those 2 brain cells to insult your ability to play because, after all, anything that takes away from their feeling like 1337 light pilots is a direct attack on their manhood.

Bottom line is, the mech isn't broken, it's a size vs speed vs hit detection problem. Every once in awhile (or even twice in one game last night) you get the satisfaction of dropping one of the little turds with an AC-20 to the face as they round a building after blasting between 2 or 3 of your team mates. No better feeling in the game at the moment than watching said light (especially if it's a spider) crumpling and sliding across the snow in frozen city when that happens.

Beagle Active Probe, it cancels out an ECM in its bubble, which can let you use Streak missiles against a target protected by ECM.

Every time somebody asks for nerfs to lights, Kerensky kills an Urbanmech.

I'm feeling chivalrous here so.... it cancels out ECM within 150m. That means if an ECM mech can keep outside of 150m of you, your SRRMs are cheesy dead weight, as opposed to cheesy 0.5-damage-per-missile-too-much.

+1 On that one.
Light mechs are really broken. In my opinion that lag shield + broken hit detection causes that. Every single match me, and my team facing same situation, where 1 spider circling around entire team. That spider eats Shells, missiles, and lasers from all directions, and SIMPLY DOES NOT DIE! Even his percentage status doesn't go down (the one that you could see when target an enemy mech). In addition to this, there is a KIND of players that abuse/over use/exploiting every single bug in every single game, and let me tell you something - THEY ARE MANY. Many than you could imagine. This players keep switching from bug to bug forcing normal players to do the same in order to stop an abuser. That's why such a chaos is going on around here. This game has it's potential, but because of all reasons.......

It might not be so bad if one they didnt put it as a trial mech, with the amount of people saying there is a problem regardless if there is or not do make them available to everyone. But back on topic yah the spiders are a problem we 1 spider circle a group of mechs without a care pgi you have a problem lights should not be engagine heavy and assault mechs head on it makes no sense that they take the amount of hits that they do.

So before we have the people who like light or just like to abuse bugs come in here and tell me how it more related to skill then any other factor I call bs. There isnt a whole lot of thought involved in running a circle around 2 or more mechs and some how not dying.

For every single player who comes in here and says they have no problem killing light mechs and we need to l2p
post a screenshot of your stats lets see what mechs you play and weapons used so we may learn from you.

Why dont we do a switch and make the awesome some kind of juggernaught that can kill lights on demand.

There's already a different mech for that.

Lumping all light mechs together with a blanket statment like "lights need to be nerfed" is ridiculous. Even if the Jenner was overpowered, no one in their right mind would think a Commando is overpowered. And certainly the Locust thats coming out in 5 days and has a laughable 24 armor on its center torso (20 on the side torsos) is even less of a threat than a Commando.

IMO people making blanket statements like this only hurt their own credibility. If something is overpowered, be more specific about it, like "Spiders are overpowered or Jenners are overpowered."

A Kintaro with Streaks and BAP is a rock. Light mechs are scissors. The Kintaro has far too much manueverability for any light to ever stay behind it for more than about half a moment, and the Streaks rarely fail to hit the target.

You should be THANKFUL when lights circle jerk you, because it puts them into a predictable pattern that you can line up your shots towards. The ones who hit-and-run in unpredictable ways...those are the ones you should fear. The circle dancers are jokes.
