If he's in a 'god-mode' mech, how did he take damage, much less critical damage? How abotu you show us these god-mode abusing pilots with the 12-0 kdr's.

i had a match yesterday in my AWS-9M with 3 PPCs in chainfire... i came up against a spider, and shot those 3 PPCs right into his torso, got hitmarkers on each shot, and his paperdoll didn't even change to color.... i recorded some matches yesterday, but i don't know whether this was one of them. i will check this when i get home and post it, if i recorded it.

I shot 2ppcs and an ac10 yesterday into a shut down victor. He definitely did not dodge the shots. None of them hit...
Just checking, was the spider under 90m as you hit him?

This is what I was after. You are saying that this is a warning that does not necessarily have anything at all whatsoever even a little bit to do with actually taking critical damage.
To this I say that the warning is very badly named.

I do too have hit reg problems with all kinds of mechs, they don't occur often (harder to tell with lasers then ballistics...) but I recently had a Jagermech that was legged and somehow survived 3 x 6medlaser alphas into his remaining leg with apparently no dmg.
On the other hand, 3 days?! ago my K2 Cat had 0 problems killing a spider with ppcs at 100m range... (poor noob apparently)
And my Atlas usually does well with the UAC5s at hit reg, when i hit small mechs...

many people ignore this and soon their internal ct is ruined and they've died to a backstabbing. the system is doing everything it can do to save you that embarresing death.
i wouldn't knock it if i were you.

funny it happens to me aswell as the op. i thought it was when over 50-90% of your armour gets stripped quickly. i've seen many people through spectating get the crit warning without any internals showing yet.

Thanks. What I'm really after is a clear and concise explanation of this. I want to make a suggestions thread totally bitching up about how this mechanic works but I need to fully understand it first.
