I started playing MWO for a couple simple reasons; my love of mecha, and the gameplay appealed to me. But, playing the game by myself or even just a few friends wasn't enough. Every match was a large brawl induced by the hive like mentality of 'most of the team is going this way.. so lets all do the same.'' My dreams of strategy with teams of varied roles flew out the window. Not to mention the community gets toxic the moment the [READY] button needs to be pressed, regardless if you're a late logger or new player. After I found Marine Mechs, the quality of gameplay started on the rise. Everyone on the team, from new to veteran, are eager to help. Whether it be how you could play better, or even what tweaks your loadout may need, we're here to help. After all, we're strongest united.

These are great guys to play with, with loads of knowledge to pass on. If you're new and in need of folks that can teach you a thing or two but also want to have fun, then come join Marine Mechs! Even if you're not new. don't think because we're bringing in new people that the level of competition will be low, that's just not the case. I'm a fairly new member (4 weeks now) and strong supporter of my clan. Why? I'll sum it up for 'ya.

I was a new comer to MWO, but a life long fan and passionate about Robotech games, books, and lore. But did that instantly make me a great pilot? Heck no son!

So after several weeks of trying out different mechs, pugging, and getting my game on I found myself unsure where to spend my time socially and landed in this forum. I asked myself, "How do I ensure I find the right group of people to improve my game, help me make the right loadout decisions, allow me to find my place in the team where I can be effective, joke around, and have a great time while doing it!?".

Did I like being in the know about the latest developments in game and in the MWO world? Sh'yaa!

Did I like the occassional shout out when I protected my lance or scouted the enemy well and painted targets for my LRM boats? Double Sh'yaah!

Well, scrolling through this thread I saw the camaraderie, the humor, and the thanks and kudos from other clans.
