So let's see...if you could only pick one, or had to pick one at start...what would you pick? You can add why, if you'd like.
For me, Inner Sphere, always.

EDIT: Can't really comment on the game until it comes out, but unless there is a serious negative aspect to joining the clans I'll be joining one touman or another. I like the warrior tradition and their lore. All the ritual and what not sits well with me.
I could care less about who has better tech or whatever because playing as a clanner is a more enjoyable gaming experience for me.

I like the Clan 'fluff' i like thier honour system, I like their 'mechs and their reason for being.
I also like the IS but if I have a chance to play a game for enjoyment I am going to pick the thing I ENJOY the most.
Semyon.

I really wouldn't care if the TimberWolf had to be watered-down to a spheroid standard.

I like that the Clans exist, I like that Alexsandr Kerensky figured back into the universe after he left, and I even like the rationale behind the Wardens. I feel like the Crusaders, though, are the stereotypical bad guys that the universe needed at the time the invasion. Just my opinion though (one of the reasons I love BT is the depth of the fiction, as you can find a specific faction that fits your own personal playstyle, leanings, etc.)!

I'd love to see player clanners just to see them bicker between themselves as they bid themselves into a corner. Then we'll see just how good the clan players truly are.

Even with the camaraderie and experience of fighting as a Steiner for a year or more, I will want to jump ship the second they declare Clan sign-ups open. I want to experience the Invasion from the Jade Falcon point of view. To watch my forces sweep aside 200 year old clunkers, to get outnumbered and taken advantage due to our strict rules of war and yet, still make it out of the fight alive, honorable and victorious. I want to be there in the end, on Tukayyid, standing as a mechwarrior of the reformed Falcon Guards as we hold our last line against the massive onslaught of Comguards. To stand next to Aidan Pryde and probably fall with him would be the greatest realization this game can offer me as a long time fan whose first books were the Jade Phoenix Trilogy.

I will look forward to fighting along side you and against you when the time comes.
I'll show you just what a 200 year old clunker can do

I'm a freeborn, stravag, honorless Merc. Or so the clanners tell me.
I'm far from honorless, but the first two titles I openly embrace with a smile.
I just hope the last throught than runs through that clanner's head as my gauss slug punches through their canopy is "A freeborn ended me."
I'm an Inner Sphere Mercenary. Gray Death Legion and proud of it. My 'mech doesn't have omni slots. It doesn't use extended range anything, my LRM launchers are heavy, and "Streak" SRM's? Nah, I'll stick with the standard launchers, thanks.
It's not the 'mech, or weaponry, birth, or cultivation in a test tube.
Talent, tactics, and raw tenacity will win the day.
That said, I'll see you all dirtside.

Where my sibko went to the stars, I fell from them like a meteor.
The Naval Caste is one of contemplation and cunning. We are not duller than our Aerospace kin, we are more patient. And when we put our minds to it, we are as fine a warrior as any elemental.
I prefer the cockpit of my Kit Fox to the sterile bridge of a Dropship. Here, I am at the end of the rope, fathoming the depths of battle. I see with my eyes what my sibko only sees through the lens of reconnaissance drones. And here my contemplation and cunning wins dividends of blood and honor.
I am Clan Snow Raven.

I'm Merc, Making money is the game, and if I can salvage some upgrades in the process then so be it.
