That is the current state of the PP in a nutshell.

I can only fear for the people being in the Thunderbolt's cockpit, suffering from Hunchback-itis.

Nope.

Played every medium, minus the KTO (which, initially suffered awful hitboxes of lolcore) and I liked most of them... I hated the Trebuchets other than the 7K which is the only salvageable one.

This is an atrocity and it's not hard to see why.

I often wonder if the art-side ever fight/complain to the balance/Paul/hitbox guy side when they have to deal with bad designs...

Pretty much exclusively play Mediums - Hunchback, Kintaro, Centurion, Blackjack, all various variants. Have started in on Orions due to nostalgia and own a Sarah's Jenner, but that's it.

I agree that the shadow hawk might be a little too tall, but think about it. The best thing for a medium to really do right now(if you not a cicada) is to support your heavier or lighter mechs. I mostly pilot my centurion and I almost never run in to brawl. 90% of the time im next to an assault or heavy being a support because if I stick out my head anywhere im target number 1. I could be the furthest person back and ill still get focused down(even though it might just be my paint job on anything other than a snow map lol). But ya, being support, not going in guns a blazing.

Trying to contain my disappointment.

Failed.

This definitely does not inspire confidence in the saber pack.

You should really be afraid of the ones your team. "Oh sorry sorry sorry! The crosshairs were 10m to the left, but it shot you instead! I mean, it was just your rear armor though, right? No biggie?:

How can you know if you are satisfied if you have not used a product? You cannot. I do not know if I will like it. I have liked all my mediums so far and I even enjoy my quickdraws. So we will see.

Speak for yourself folks, do not pretend you are the pastors and protectors of the community. Thanks for your time.

Well, one mech already suffers from "everything is on the right side"... which is far worse than a Hunchback.

HAVE FUN!

ur right im better not reading the forums on Saturday nights drunk and tired.
Still its looks really good but, the legs seems to tall same with the locust
But in the other hand they did fix the awesome too.
By now its possible to go with them and make serious damage without dieing after 60 second. My concern is that it take almost 8 mount to fix the hitboxes and nerf the LRMs

well any way i like challenge! For sure i come up with some suitable playstyle the game getting boring at least i can think about an unusual strategy I really shouldn't complain it can be a good thing.

I just thought i going to get at least one easy hero medium mech. A mech like the BJ-1, HBK-4SP or TBT-7M.
Well its time to wake up, and see how do they work.

So, once it's in-game, will anyone post the height (preferably, the "scalp height" - that is, sans any antennae and such) of the actual model? ;)

Assuming the Shadow Hawk is around 14.4 meters tall, it would be fairly close to where it "should be" by way of scaling versus the MWO Atlas (which is ~17.6 meters tall), though up to ~15.1-15.2 meters (that is, a ~5% variance) is arguably close enough to be a negligible issue. :(

High mounted weapons (firing from cover), speed and JJ's should make this a effective mech, even if tall in comparison with other mediums.

Yes, I'm usually the first one to do so, but you can already tell it's gonna be a total bust like the quickdraw.

Though, how tall is the Quickdraw (again, preferably its "scalp height"), in meters? ;)

Without knowing the actual height in meters, I would predict the Quickdraw (as a 60-ton upright humanoid) to be on the order of ~14.84 meters tall, with a ~5% variation allowing for heights up to ~15.58 meters to still fall within the realm of "arguably acceptable".

Likewise, the Shadow Hawk (as a 55-ton upright humanoid) would be predicted to be on the order of ~14.42 meters tall (or up to ~15.14 meters, given a ~5% variation), the Thunderbolt (as a 65-ton upright humanoid) would be predicted to be on the order of ~15.25 meters tall (or up to ~16.01 meters, given a ~5% variation), and the BattleMaster (as an 85-ton upright humanoid) would be predicted to be on the order of ~16.67 meters tall (or up to ~17.50 meters, given a ~5% variation).

It would be interesting to see the actual heights of the models, to see how close all of the above actually gets... :(
