Experiement with loadouts there.
Generally speaking, until you're better at heat management and such, don't even bother using more than two large lasers. Mind you, you're not getting more than two onto a light anyways, so that's fine.

Benefits!
It is capable of horrifying sustained damage and works very well with advanced zoom, as the Stalker's teeny and well placed arms allow you to peek over cover and lance your enemies with your splendid Azure beams of death whilst exposing very little of yourself to return fire.
VARIANTS?
As far as variants go, the 3F is the better stalker for brawling thanks to a generous extended torso twist range. If you were to forgo a couple of heatsinks, you could cram in an AMS or a few streak launchers to deter those pesky lights. The 5M also has a CT energy slot that can hold a large laser, but you give up the whole 'peek and shoot' thing somewhat if you go this route.
I've had some success with this mutant build recently: the BAP allows you to target lights, the streaks allow you to smash them, the lasers allow you to melt the torsos or legs of larger fodder. The zombie CT laser is nice, though you are usually pretty boned if you are in a position where it is your only remaining weapon.
Playstyle:
Trade some desultory fire with your enemies at the beginning of the battle, but try not to draw too much attention to yourself. Be patient, hide like a coward and wait for your comrades to become embroiled in battle with your foes, then peek out of cover and melt the {Scrap} out of anything within range of your weapons. Ensure you stagger your LL's by at least 1/2 a sec to avoid ninja heat. Stay close to but behind the main advance, as Stalkers are light mech and LRM meat if they are caught alone.
Modules:
Advanced zoom allows you to attain surgical precision when gutting your enemies, and makes the ER's more accurate. Maybe. If you fear lights, use seismic. I prefer sensor range if i'm using streaks, and target info gathering in a pure LL loadout to point out those juicy, vulnerable damaged areas quicker.
EDIT!
Light mechs? Pfft. IGNORE EVERYTHING WRITTEN ABOVE. I would reccomend a spider or jenner, but really, LL's are a nerf to lights. MLAS deliver far more damage for less tonnage, and your speed allows you to close the gap and actually use them within optimal range.
Having said that, i've done OK with THIS, switching out a heatsink for another MLAS if i'm bored, though the standard 6ML model is more optimal IMHO.

Otherwise, horse a piece. Whatever chassis floats your boat.

You simply can't take enough heat sinks to cool two LL, a jenner with four mlas and a pair of streaks will eat you alive.

You can fit 6 of them with like a 1.3 HE and go like 75+

The phract can fit 5 LL with a STND 300 and go 74 KPH with speed tweak. The K-2 can fit 4 LL and use a STD 300 aswell for better speed. I know you may only want a light for large lasers, but if you're looking to use more than 2, go for a medium or heavy. (I.E. Centy AL or one of the Trebs)
