They've made an excellent game which is a lot of fun.

Excellent may be stretching it a bit.

HA! Yeah perhaps.

I'm not saying its perfect. Not in the slightest. I actually have quite the beef with, well, a lot of things.

I'm taking a break till aforementioned things are fixed, but I'm patient and have full confidence PGI wants to make money.

Anyway cheers.

mine has been fine on a gtx 680, 16gb, 3770 @ 4.5ghz, installed to SSD.

*shrug*

Only real problem was that the first time out on river city night, nightvision and heatvision did not work. However that resolved itself on the 2nd drop there

My fps are completely fine until an enemy mech comes into view, then the game becomes stutterville for approx 10-20 seconds.

I wouldn't get too exited about 12, it may never catch on. 10 didn't.

11 is the more likely new 9.

Yea, with DX11 my computer runs worse. It runs ok, then I get a downward frame rate spike about every 5 seconds or so.

Back to DX9

I can run dx11 but i lose about 10 frames, ATM there is no real graphical increase, so I'll just have dx9 on until its worth it. Im ok with losing a few frames for a significant increase in graphical fidelity, its just not there yet.

I get this same issue, it's making it rather difficult to pilot a fast light mech and aim reasonably well

Same here. Testing on the training grounds shows that there is some systemic problem at issue. If I find a mech and circle it, I get frame drops consistently at certain points, always at the same points. Not sure what the mechanism is.

I get 45-60 fps on my system with very high settings on all, but with dx11 it drops to 30 max, even just sitting in the mechlab, with stutters and drops into the low 20s during games. It's essentially unplayable in dx11, so back to dx9 until they find the problems, optimize the performance, and get the game playing more consistently.

I was wondering if anyone else was having this issue. I'm thinking about turning DX9 back on. I even ran the repair tool

i'm getting the same stutters with DX9 since the patch so changing might not solve that problem

Well its not properly optimized atm but dx11 is always going to be a frame drop anyway afaik.

Yes there is some functions that run faster because they are more efficiently written in dx11 but all the other added bits and peices (once they do all the art for it) are only going to make peoples frames drop really.

DX11 is supposed to take stress of the CPU and let you do stuff like crossfire, Once its optimized it'll be great.

I think the stutter is mech texture loading issue. At the start of each round I look around to see all friendly mechs to load their textures. I get stutter at that point. I get more stutter as I start to see enemy mechs. Fortunately for me it's seems to be only one stutter for every mech, not constant reloading. I'm running Radeon HD 7870 with 2Gb memory.

Maybe those who have constant stutter, should lower texture detail level or switch to DX9 until fixed.
