well at least the Locust swarms are once again making Assault mode unplayable as they are now just massing and swarming your base again, even if you have defence in place they are over run quickly. Might as well change it to attack and defence mode. I'll be happy once the stupid ****** ***** is done and game settles down again. Hey PGi, no more of this {Scrap} ok... just saying. Launch the mech chassies, all of them and get a move on with 2.0

Are you kidding me? Over run? By a swarm of locusts?! What, did your team forget to shoot or something? The Locust is the most pointless Mech in the game: barely faster than the other lights and not able to outrun streaks. The first time I saw a Locust today it exploded shortly after. Now I didn't actually get a visual, but its name tag showed up right before another light ate it. In fact, i have only SEEN a locust once, they always get killed before I can reach them!

The quality of your language leads me to believe you put as much effort contemplating your opinion as you spent proof reading your post.

Or his English isn't very good, or did you forget this game is played all over the world?

I'm not sure why they didn't give the Locusts 3 module slots to start with. You really need coolant flush (x2 on the 3M), cap accel, seismic and/or an artillery strike if they ever make them effective.

He is from England, fairly sure they invented "English".

In his defence, he may have posted from a "smart" device.

He is in England. Doesn't necessarily speak to his first language. You, being in Texas, should know that.

Locust is where it should be , Light mech shouldnt go brawl expecting to win vs something bigger than medium. Other lights are the problem.

Generally if someone is living in Texas or England, and they don't speak English, they're the problem. Skilled immigrants almost always already speak English.

Locust survivability has several significant problems:

1. 20 ton means very low armor

2. centre torso is massivly oversized, the CT makes around 70% of the whole torso

the whole design is completely inferior to the Spider,
just a bit more speed doesnt make the cow fat,
especially if your only advantage is countered by a large bunch of drawbacks

competitivly, the Locust has no chance in this game

+ a bit more speed
+ tiny, but ...
- ...only as much as a Spider
- low armor
- low equipment
- oversized CT
- no jumpjets

this guy is good in nothing, except "running for life"

and becasue PGI is PGI, they will never fix it
just ask the AWS or other unbalanced chassis

If they would increase the engine cap and speed, plus reduce the requirement to 7 or 8 heatsinks instead of 10, and it might be workable.

Or just cut the engine ratings of the other Lights. No reason the Spider should go just as fast as the Locust as well as have more tonnage, be the same size, and be jump capable.

OR we could slap some JJ's onto the Locust for maximum lulz.
