I say we should remove the Search Engine from the game! Oh... wait...

I'm tempted to put that on the list lol I could make the argument that most don't use it anyhow hence the duplicate threads with the same subject like two spots below the OP's post a lot of times lol

I have never asked for a nerf, just some buffs to a few things that are weak. However I have asked for the Gauss Rifle de-sync to be more player-friendly, it doesn't work with a joystick, it's not how a sniper rifle works anyway. And MWO needs DHS 2.0 now that they added ghost heat. So it wasn't me asking for all these nerfs, I was happy with normal Battletech gameplay where you just did your best and there was nothing wrong with the clean version of MWO.

There is still no need for the ready button in PuG drops. it should be removed.

Wasn't the purpose of the Ready Button to allow people to organize better before the match?
It makes more sense to have it in the PUGs, at least give people the option to organize and discuss tactics before the match begins.

Wish I could spam click the like button for this post...

And also Sandpit, I'm fully aware of why you made this post and in my post that qouted you should notice I said I agree with most of your points but cited the film grain as one that I did not agree with.

In the end lots of ppl have come up with ways to do things a bit better for the game, the Devs just simply do NOT listen. So, ya ppl get pissed off cuz PGI has no sense of balance, they bounce from one extreme to the next...

wanna deal with "boating"? give the hardpoints size restrictions instead of Ghost heat...
OR, have an engine have a "power output" rating... alphastrikes cannot exceed said rating... just something to consider... <or not in PGI's case>

want "real DHS"? then you would have to scale back the additional heat capacitance you gain from heatsinks, cuz thats not how battletech works.... if I remember correctly heat capacitance is determined by the engine used and dissipation is determined by the heat sinks... I could be wrong though.
<also I know you didnt cite that, I had noticed someone else had recently added that in the last few posts>

There are alot of creative ideas people have had to fix different portions of the game and NONE of them have really been considered... instead PGI consistantly comes out of left field with some off the wall mechanic almost everyone hates...

Good posts tho man, it does increase awareness to whats happening that most people lose sight of cuz something doesnt apply to them exactly... until it does... LoL

I know sir, good ideas are just that, good ideas. "Remove this cuz I don't like it" is far from a good idea though. I just finally got fed up with every time I open a section on the forums there's multiple threads calling for the removal of some feature or another. I come across a little harsher than I normally mean to sometimes but I bear nobody ill will and think most in this community actually mean well but just aren't articulate enough to give a better dialogue.

I love intelligent discussion. It's a good thing and I really do believe that the better ideas sometimes get implemented by the devs. Other times they see a player outcry about somethign and come up with their own idea on how to fix something but that's a different thread for a different day. lol
As always, gl&gh out there and may your pew pew pew be straight and true (unless you're aiming at me lol)

Well now we have a fancy CryEngine3 mech lab simulator!

That won't stop me, I have plenty of complaints about the mech lab too! :)

One thing I've noted in this thread is that players seem to think that if their ideas are not implemented that they are not being listened to or that it is not being considered.

Easy enough to listen to and consider ideas. Valid, reasoned points can be presented for consideration. That does not mean the devs agree or that players are being ignored simply because they do not follow your suggestion. In the end that is exactly what we are doing. Making suggestions. Call it my pet peeve (remove listening=implementing!)

Prior to Sandpit creating this thread, I was toying with the concept of a follow-up to my award winning thread that is pinned for justice in K Town. But I can't find anything about the posting habits on the forum that haven't either been covered in that thread or THIS one.

The fundamental flaw with the Forumites is that they don't follow the road to the stop sign before posting. They call for removal, or nerfs or buffs without the SLIGHTEST concept of consequences that would result in what they're calling for, and while they may have a good idea in theory, and maybe even have a kernel of respectability to it, they completely destroy their idea with either hyperbole or demands.

Very little is actually constructive, or worthy of debate. So much is just entitled QQing, as is evidenced by this thread. I hope one day, once it's outlived it's front page status, that this thread finds it's way to K Town to be pinned for justice, right next to mine. -_-

Aww Road, you've made me the happiest forum dwelling troll ever. lol

I'm actually thinking about starting another thread compiling all of the duplicate posts. Just to give people an idea on how many times it happens and why their "wonderfully original" idea/suggestion usually doesn't need an entire thread all of its own

Or you could just make a thread of quotes from Mudhutwarrior about "Evil Premades" and the art of being a victim/martyr, that'd span 3 pages just in itself.
