I laugh at the fact that no references to the "please remove 'x'" threads that Sandpit is referring to are present. True enough, I have seen a few of the "removal" proposals that were referred to were present in his original post, but something tells me the more ridiculous proposals are either completely fabricated, or taken out of context as to what the OP of the culprit "removal thread" was actually trying to say.

Surprisingly enough, no.

Every time he has added one to the list there has been a dead serious post on the first page of suggestions demanding it be removed - some for OP, some for UP, some "because it killed me" or a variety of other (usually) stupid reasons - but so far all in dead seriousness.

Oh, I'm all-too aware of what people will do on gaming forums. I'm just saying making a list like this and expecting it to make people stop, as opposed to directly addressing their grievance is worthless--if not toxic to the community.

That would be assuming they are NOT working on those grievances already - and there is as much evidence for as against - so why don't you follow your own advice and either give some actual constructive feedback - or shut up?

That guy was also in the habit of mis representing peoples posts by ommission or addition to bolster his point, and also just ignored points that he could not refute and pushed on with a weaker argument but in CAPS.

If by mean "out of context" you mean, "corrected the use of the word" then yes.

I never walked away from the ideal. The only thing I walked away from was further argument with you.

Mis-representing? Misunderstanding, maybe (as I can't read minds over the internet) but I'd like to think most of the misunderstandings between us were clarified. That said, Sandy's position and argument is pretty clear cut. Why you are rushing to his defense, I'll never know.

I only give what other people dish out.

...and yes I have used the search function (even though the burden of proof is on you) and there are a few of the posts you referred to (as I stated before) but much of the others do not exist or are exaggerated.
