It seems that the torso can have a max of 2x10 tubes, and each arm can have 20.

The problem is that LRMs are nothing like what the whiners claim they are, so loading yourself up with anything more than 4xlrm10s (or possibly 2xlrm10s and 2xlrm20s) is a recipe for failure.

Also, you run out of tonnage for BAP+TAG+AMMO if you take 4x LRM20s :D.

Anyone had any success bringing the rain (of tears)? What are your configs?

4x10 seems to be the config of the day, no idea if it is the best, but seeing them everywhere.

Makes me want to buy a locust and run tag for a change from Victor.

... almost.

I guess you don't REALLY need BAP (or armor) if you are putting all your eggs in one basket.

Nah, you can fit armor and bap, even artemis.

BLR-1S

I don't think I would, but it could be done. :P

BLR-1S

Not intended for indirect fire. Don't forget about the fast reload on the 10's. This can put out some pain.

I've tried an LRM apocalypse also... but pretty much ended up copying builds from my Stalkers.

I've run 3x20's, but strangely have had the most success with This - 2 A15's, 2 x PPC's, tag, BAP

It's a hybrid, so you have to actually stare into the eyes of your enemies while you fill them with cheese. I play by self tagging at the back of a group - hit with the PPC's while i'm getting lock, launch, watch the target panic and try to get to cover from the LURMS, profit. Until you overheat. It's also slow.... not really optimised, and has ammo in the arms.

As a pure LURM boat, i've had some good matches with this:

2xA15's, 1xA20, 3 MLAS, TAG, BAP.

I always feel i'm wasting those awesome high torso energy mounts if I don't fill them with some sort of energy weapon, but you can remove them for an extra HS or some more ammo.

I don't like running a mix of 15/10's or 20/15's because of the different cycle times. Unless you want to just put the shaken baby syndrome on them.

With that being said this is how I run mine. BLR-1S

It runs hot, and the leg armor is a little on the low side but boy when you get them in the open does it bring the hurt. I still hate the torso twist radius on this mech. Not to mention it can't clime any thing.

LRM boats don't need speed.

If you want some sniping ability with your LRMs:

Otherwise, you can drop the ER Large laser and put heat sinks or move to LRM50

You can save a ton by going to LRM15 instead of LRM10+5, but then you are not all in one big AMS-defying volley.

Personally, I prefer this build, although it can run a little hot.

No! Once you start going down that road, you shut off the possibility of maximal LURMAGE!
