i have been away for a while was tired of all the beta I had bought the founders package and the 2 of the news and having downloaded the patch today I cant even get past the log in it goes to the {connecting} for several seconds then just closes the game out is there an easy fix or am I just out the cash I spent for a game that still wasn't ready for release

I am having the exact same problem. It actually started occurring after the last patch, but eventually it would let me log in. Now it will not get past the loading screen, just dumps to the desktop.

my guess is that it is windows, that the game is only for windows 8 and not for anything newer like 8.1 or so

Greetings all,

As with each new patch, ensure that you've installed it as an Admin. And additionally ensure that the new .exe is run as Admin.

Normally each patch will create a new .exe to start the game. Without Admin rights there are areas of MWO that need these elevated levels to connect to the servers. As they access areas within windows to start certain programs that must have Admin levels.

Try that and advise if you see changes.
