I'm looking forward to weighted teams (team weight limits) such that bringing a Locust instead of a Jenner will give you 15 more tons for your team to upgrade a 50-ton Medium to a 65-ton Heavy.

I believe this is why they have introduced it, I cannot see why anyone would pick this mech over a spider, or jenner at the moment. I have to admit, when weighted games are implimented, the locts will definately be of some use.

Actually, the missing heat sinks are already subtracted from the engine weight. You are not getting a free heat sink tonnage that you would get in the board game. They just re-arranged where the math is. The 3 ton cockpit, 1, 2, or 3 ton gyro in the CT, and all of the external heat sinks are allready added/subtracted from each engine weight to keep it simple.

You can't do this build in either the board game or in MWO, so I don't get where you think PGI made a mistake. They're copying the board game build rules correctly, and I might even say in a much easier to understand way.

I've said this before in other posts, a FPS is not a turn based board game and therefore MWO has to have some unique balancing adjusments to help compensate for that.

I think with the current game we have, the Locust could use some help in the heat sink department (whether it was in TT or not). If the current engine requires 4, adjust it down to 2 heatinks minimum. If the engine requires 6, make it 4 (and visa versa). I don't think that is asking too much considering the current game state.
