I installed windows 8.1 but am now getting real bad graphic issues. everything is tinted with a purple haze, colors of the mechs in the mech bays bleed all over the screeen and when attempting to play a match I get 3 images trying to display at the same time with a purple haze over everything.

Yep, I installed 8.1 today as well, getting the same issue. Not sure what the cause is.

I am running the latest Nvidia drivers with my GTX 550 TI, amd fx6300 hex-core, 8gb ram, 7200 rpm hdd, nothing too fancy or out of the norm.

Hey Eaerie I found the problem, for me at least: I have an Nvidia card, it appears upgrading to windows 8.1 for some reason turns on Stereoscopic 3D for the Nvidia Control Panel. Go into Nvidia Control Panel and turn it off, voila problem solved. If you aren't running an Nvidia card, then I'm not sure what it could be, good luck =)

Well I have an older computer (6y/o) 2.3ghz quad core, 8megs ram, GTX 650 and a 7200rpm hard drive. I had some issues with frame rates earlier but nothing graphics related. I have updated all my drivers, ran the de bug program, the troubleshoot compatibility program for windows and uninstalled/re installed the game, so far nothing

Similar issue here, 8.1 is full of fun, anyway there is an 8.1 drive on the Nvidia site, I updated to it and disabled steroscopic 3d and my games no longer 1ms pink to pink. :>

Thanks

Hi. I'm running Win8 Pro(64bit) myself at the moment. But haven't upgraded since it might have issues such as this.

You guys noticed any other difference in performance etc compared to Win8? Or is it safe to upgrade? :)

So far MWO is the only program I have had issues with when I upgraded to windows 8.1. Granted I don't run a whole slew of other games/programs but so far nothing bad. Once I got steroscopic 3D turned off MWO ran just like before.

I got the stereoscopic bug as well, but I still have a persistant FPS drop. Not sure what the actual FPS are, but i just went from Win7 to Win8.1 (clean install) and the FPS has to be down in the 10s to 20s....plus i am getting alot textures flickering and general slowdown when in game. Seems to improve by the end of the match. It's also very sluggish when transiting into and out of the desktop.

Using a 560 GTX with latest stable Nvidia drivers....core i7 2600k. 16Gb ram...i know it's not the machine...

I was having a similar issue (the entire game had an orange tint.)I couldn't access my nvidia control panel it kept crashing so I uninstalled it and reinstalled the latest driver. I will check the 3d setting thanks.

Edit: Apparently a "CLEAN" install of Nvidia drivers cleared the 3d setting and it works now.

I'm running MWO on a Win 8.1 laptop with Optimus and had to update both my intel and my nvidia drivers to start.

I also have to run MWO in Windows 8 or Windows 7 compatibility mode. If I don't Windows tells me I'm running out of resources and eventually I get a CryEngine memory allocation error then MWO crashes. Otherwise, MWO appears to be stable and performs as well as ever in compatibility mode.
