I admit I had fun in them, but I sold them as I got other mechs to upgrade and I want to prepare for the Wolverine...

So far, I have only piloted the 1V and 3M. The 3M is pretty fun, and I like piloting it. 5MLasers can do enough damage to make me happy.

As for the 1V, it is a cruel mistress. The only thing I have come up with is 1 ERLaser with advanced zoom and 2 MGs. Basically a Sniper. I had a LPLaser, but I don't like getting that close LOL.

Having a lot of fun, although it tends to end abruptly :D

The 1V is a smaller, faster, non-jumpy 5K, so if I could master that I can master the 1V.
The 3M has a lot of firepower (5ML = 25 point alpha). Shouldn't be a problem to master.
The 3S with quad-SRM2 on chain-fire is hilarious to rock people with. Shouldn't be a problem either.

As far as the "what is master?" argument, I see it like this:

8/8 Basic on three variants = unlocked Elite.
4/4 Elite = Elited, unlocked Master
1/1 Master = Mastered.

There's a difference between unlocking Master and having the 'mech Mastered - as far as I'm concerned anyway.

Tons O' fun but die fast. I'm looking forward to getting them elited so I you get the speed tweak and double basic efficiencies. But I've been working on the battlemasters as I'm more of a heavy/assault pilot.

3M and 3S = 8/8 Basic - SOLD !
1V(P) = 4/4 Elite and working on getting 1/1 Master

This one allowed me to hit 1/1 Master on my Raven 3L and Jenner D(S) since they have been sitting at 4/4 Elite for many moons.

yeah, throwing down that 21,500 xp is a commitment, a commitment rewarded with a mastery.

And it's all earned by seat time in the 'mech it's applied to. That's my rule, no GXP unlocking for me.
